I would love to and I will try to break loose one of these days but you know how it is, it's just hard to get away when you have a bunch to feed and no help.

Straight up pounding this morning. I carried Jackson, Jubal, and Pearl, and Anthony carried Birdie, Blaze, and Rifle. Jackson started the first rabbit and 53 minutes later I shot, missed of course, and the rabbit holed up. Jubal started the next rabbit at 9:18, and at 11:07 after two shots from me the dogs caught the rabbit. Nothing left but the head by the time Anthony got there. They deserved it after an hour and 49 minute run. Thanks to Rifle for some hellacious check work on that race. Blaze started the next race and 20 minutes later Anthony got his first kill of the season. We headed to the house shortly after that kill. Each dog had a fantastic day. All contributed in some way. I cannot wait until tomorrow. Hope the running is as good as it has been the last two hunts, because I am unleashing my son's dog he got from Lynn Perkins. We call him Jeremy's Little Buddy. He's almost 9 months old and is showing some promise. Stay tuned for tomorrow's update.

That was one thick place ! That was as much fun as killing 10. I literally walked in a circle once trying to get out of the heart of that cut-over. All the credit goes to the hounds they managed to fight through and smoke some rabbits when they could get back into the pines. There were some scratched up heads and ears at feeding time yesterday.

No rabbits killed Saturday but we had some great running. Jackson and charger both had jumps as well as some great checks and drives. Buffalo bill was awesome as usual. Youngster Mona Lisa had a tremendous day afield. Jubal was solid and Jeremys little buddy did okay. He's going to need some solo action and a lesson or two braced up with rifle.
