Excuses

Post by DaManBeagles »

Well I have ran out of excuses for not killing many rabbits except I need to practice shooting and stand still.
Since it rained I cant say we had poor tracking, the dogs are jumping lots of rabbits I am just not doing my part!
There was a few times as the dogs ran by they looked at me like come on how did you not kill that one!
I am thinking about getting out the clay pigeons and practicing some this week.
Or buying slower dogs so the rabbits dont come by so fast! LOL

ohhh come on now. shooting the rabbit is the easy part. saturday 7 shells = 6 rabbits for me. Plus one more shell for Mr. Squirrel that was on the run.

its easy. Just shoot a little bit in front of the rabbit. I use 6shot High Brass 12ga Browning. It gets the job done :approve:

TC, you should have been there. The dogs showed us lots of rabbits. I had one run within 2 feet of me in the open and never saw it. All I could here was Joe saying shoot it, shoot it. Course my gun was leaning against a tree and I was busy. Must have been the pop. Between that and forgetting to load my gun I didn't miss near as much as Joe.
