Ya, I looked all over for the qualifications for this trial and was unable to find them...probably just overlooked them but certainly hard to find on the net.
I know FC Durhams Lilly got NBQ in the 15" females and I believe one of Joe Kuklenski's dogs won the 13" male class....don't think there was anyone else I know that did any good.
I do know it was voted to keep the LP Nationals East of Ohio again next year....would love to see a NMHA club get a shot at running it.

Re: LPH Nationals
It's really difficult for hounds that run cottontail only to be conditioned for that type of non stop pounding hour after hour, but a few Mid-West beaglers have placed & even won in the last few years. I think Don Hoog has won it once or twice. The qualifications used to be: any AKC Field Champion (small pack or large pack), or a 1st or 2nd place in an AKC licensed large pack trial that year. I think that CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) hounds were allowed to run also if they met that criteria, but I'm not completely sure about the CKC hounds.
Usually, this trial is promoted heavily months in advance; not that I had anything qualified anyway, but came close. Maybe next year.

Re: LPH Nationals
Here are some results I found from another website via Better Beagling..... Results are not complete but some is better than none! A BIG congrats to fellow beagler/club member John Tomasi and his 15" female NLPC FC Tomasi's Deductible Dancer! She is a great hound and I am happy for his success!
I, too, would like to see a NMHA club represent Nationals....and I do not say that because I belong to NMHA but it would be somewhat "centrally" located for beaglers around the USA!
This is what I found:
13" males - 28 starters
1st - NLPC FC Green Bay Paw King - Joe Kuklenski
2nd - IFC Awful Bawlin Jerker T - Jesse McDonald
3rd - FC Barcus' Ohio River Tuck II - Brian Unroe
4th - FC Beaver River Johnathan's Jack - Steve Guy
NBQ - FC Twin Creek Cane - George & Janice Dancer
13" Females - 38 starters
1st - NLPC IFC Cryon KC - George, Greg & Clark Steeves
2nd - unknown
3rd - Windy Hollow Foxy Roxie - Dale Piche
4th - unknown
NBQ - unknown
15" males - 29 starters
1st - NLPC FC J-N-K's Bulldozer - James Milnyczuk
2nd - Goldentone Man O' War - Gerard Perreault
3rd - FTCH Brazier's Diablo - Matthew Brazier
4th - FC Papineau's Hot Axel - Larry & Christine Pappineau
NBQ - Sabattus Mountain EZ Duzit - Christine & Dario Manna
15 " females - 36 starters
1st - NLPC FC Tomasi's Deductible Dancer
2nd - IFC Big Creek Nice Cream - John Dewyse
3rd - FC Potter Brook Candida D'Or - David Boek
4th - FC Wild Mts Jasmin's Jenny Rouge - Rick & Sue Hall
NBQ - FC Durham's Lily - Denny Dugan
Hope these help!!! I sure others will fill in the blanks!

Congrats to Brian Unroe and Barcus' Ohio River Tuck II for placing 3rd. This is Tucks second time to the Large Pack Nationals, last year he placed 5th and now this year 3rd. Way to Go!!!! I hear he is looking to breed some nice titled bitches, so be sure to contact him if you are looking for a stud dog. Congrats to all others who placed.

Re: LPH Nationals
Congrats to all that placed! I know these guys work their butts off to get ready for this event every year.. Good Job!. I'd first like to send a special congrats to two of our local members Jon Tomasi and his dog NLPC FC. Tomasi's Deductible Dancer. His 15" bitch ate up the dogs in the N.M.H.A. Jon is one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. I'm very happy for him. Not to mention John Dewse with his 2nd place in the 15" bitch class. Now, Joe Kuklenski with his win in the 13" males was also a big feat. His little male NLPC Green Bay Paw King has not even acquired his Field Championship title yet and is now a National Large Pack Champion. I'm sure a lot of folks don't know this but I'll share... First, Paw King has not even ran in his derby yet. I'm thinking he may be the youngest dog ever to win this event? Joe finished a Field Champion this year with F.C. Green Bay Holly Hunter. He finished a International Field Champion with IFC Green Bay Butkus. He now has finished a National Large Pack Champion with Butkus"s son Paw King. Guys go their whole life trying to accomplish this and Joe did it in one year. Congrats.. I don't know of anyone that puts the times into beagles like this man does!!
Now, the vote for the rotation for the Nationals. I believe the N.M.H.A. was in line for this event next year. It's sad to see that we didn't get the chance to hold this event. We have some great running enclosures here that could easily hold this event. I know for the people who do most of the work for this event it would be hard to do from so far out but as far as I know, no-one was ever asked to even help in arrangements if it were to move to our end. Now I heard that the 13" females and Big Males hardly ran? That is a shame if it's true?? I hope Sandy Creek can continue to hold this event from here on out and keep their game suitable to host their regular trials.
This trial would be even more prestigious If it was on a rotation and maybe not held every year. hold it every two to three years and it will allow the folks in charge to get everything in place before the event. Like advertisements like Mr. Otruba suggested. Should be on a Just something for the Committee to think about. Thanks to all that made the event go this year. I hear a lot of positive things about this event and I sure hope that it continues to grow. Feel free to contact me if you need help with anything for future events I'm sure more folks from our Association would be willing to help. Dave Martin
