Sorry Swamp, it was purely selfish of me to want the brush broken down and a little contrast of hare and trail, but I know it would be short lived as the ground thaw and the suns rays would make a thin pack, so not wishing you an early labor... :D
Once in Dec, we drove up to a 10" covering and it warmed during the night and a morning rain melted all but the shaded in the wood... :(
I do love to hunt on snow tho...

Jimbo, they ran really well. It was dry there but for the biggest part the hounds ran check free.
We were running a older, faster pack in the morning and a puppy pack in the afternoon. The puppys ran really well for their ages with most being less than a year old. We only had one old hound down with the pups to hold the pack together.
I had 1 pup out of RIP X Kate which is out of Junie and honey that was 10 months old and we all thought she did a jam up job. I also had a pup out of Viagra X a Northway/ Briarpatch Boone that finally took off and ran well after getting going. My oldest pup out of Reject X Dutchess did a super job as well.
I'll make this trip every year now for as long as the Good Lord's willing. The races are as close to a deer site chase as you'll get. One word...... Unbelieveable.
I don't know if Crabby's losing any weight or not. Might just be the Shirt.
Take care, Bro.
