Sorry guys. Thanks to all guys that stood up for me. There's a little more to the story here. I got off work Friday morning at 4:30 am and slept only 4 hours max. I was up 39+ hours to drive to get the pig, then go get the cooker, go to the Erie Canal Beagle Club house, set up and cook the pig, (ALL NIGHT LONG I MIGHT ADD WITH NO BEER), put on the trial, and run the advance judging seminar that night. Then I only slept for about 5 more hours and started all over again. I didn't get to lay my head down till Sunday midnight. My math shows I only had 9 hours sleep between Thursday noon to Sunday midnight. Also my job hours just changed from working days to 4-10's at night, 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, last week so I'm still trying to acclimate to these hours as well. Try all this for a weekend at age 55 and we'll talk.

I was told this is a thankless job and I thought I understood it. I do now.

Good luck Matt and thanks to all that helped me put this event on.

I should have the results posted on a new topic soon.

I didn't mean to offend anyone and if I did I appologize . I'm use to seeing LP hunt results posted
by someone from the club and I know they can get them on the same day with no problem . I had no idea how much you guys with AKC has to go through  I should have clarified when I posted but
often times ignorance gets the best of me .

Sorry

Jude,

The only reason I posted on this thread was because you would be surprised how many people think once they leave the FT on Sunday that life just goes on for the FTS....this is not the case, and in most cases even the club members think the stuff just "magically happens". I was sticking up for clubs and FTS's in general and possibly giving a little insight into the few days after the trial....I know for an outsider it seems as though they are "hiding" the results or are "ashamed" of something.

If there are any other AKC FTS that would like to join me in an attempt to change the AKC/BB/Midwest paperwork and redundacy please let me know. I am not a fan of "it is the way we have always done it" and would like to streamline the entire process to help everyone. I doubt this will ever happen in my lifetime but it might be worth a shot. It seems as though the name and AKC reg # should be enough to get all of the information needed, although when one door seems to open...10 more shut because BB and Midwest still need the sire, dam, and breeder for the HOY standings and they do not have a instant resource to pull this info from.....hmmmm.....back to the drawing board.

That's alot of work that the Chief put in and although I don't belong to any beagle club, I did belong to a coon hunters club. What I saw was the same people doing the majority of the work and having a hard time even finding members to judge or guide. This club also held the world champion squirrel hunt and that was a pretty big event that got a lot more help as most of the club members only had coon dogs and were more readily available because they had no dogs of their own to hunt. I didn't mind helping one bit BUT my favorite job was in the kitchen, doing the cooking! :chef:

Jude, you in no way offended me, nobody did. I thought I would clarify why it took me a little longer than normal. Again thanks to warddog and Ohiohntr for helping to explain it.

It was the pig roast that taxed me but I'll always say to the day I die that pig and last year's pig as well was totally worth it!!! I had great kitchen and great "out in the field" help, help that most clubs and FTS''s would die for. So thanks to the whole Goodman family: "The Glue" Bev, "Baby Face" Cody, "Lover Boy" Joey, "I Didn't Do It" Drew, and dad "Multi-Purpose" Chris. I also would like to thank all the club members that helped me as well: Matt Glomski, Jake Havens, Don Wells, Adam Spencer, Jason Inabnitt, Joel Roseberry, and again "Multi-Purpose" Chris Goodman. One more person to thank as well. Erie Canal Beagle Club's member Doyle Butts for entrusting me with the key to their clubhouse. He also offered any other kind of help as well. I hope I didn't miss anybody! If I did, I apologize and mention it here.
