I received a phone call approxamately two weeks ago from a Consientious Breeder. He had looked at my Kojack hounds pedigree and had some concern about a cross in his pedigree. After a few calls and much research and verification of breeder certification from AKC and his own records and hand writeing comparison the papers and breeding in his pedigree are totally false on his Grand father Briary Creeks Pache OHammer lower side.
Kojack is my best swamp dog, an excellent rabbit hound, and dosen`t know he is really not registered. I made a statement awhile back on another post that a pedigree does not run a rabbit just shows you the lineage of your hounds unless some crook falsifies documentation. I have a litter of pups I can not register and the Grand Mother Grand Son cross which I will take care of when the time comes. I have already gave the litter away upon weaning. I in good conscience Icould not litter enroll these pups and sell them, this has been going on for the last 13 years.

HOW IN THE WORLD COULD YOU DO THIS TO THE BREED?

There are many hounds out there that go back to this cross and they are all grade hounds,maybe some Champions. The only reason I could come up with for you to do this is, You did not have any thing worth any thing at the time and the hound to be mentioned was a Dual Champion and you chose to lie and falsify documentation of breeding so you could at least have the blood line.

FACTS TO REMEMBER

Diamond Sadies Sport HD881936 Was never bred in 1997 to West River Patch Bonnie HM286614 or any other hound

Plowboys Frosty Patch HM808205 & Plowboys Digger Patch did not happen


Most importantly the owner of Diamond Sadies Sport has never met the BREEDER of Plowboys Frosty Patch.

There is only one person that knows what the father of Frosty is.

I hope the board will lock this in top spot for a while.

This type of thing seems to be an "on going" thing. The AKC's Secretary Report list at least one incident of this each month. Unfortunately, the dishonest hounds men continue their dirty deeds. There was an instance about 6 months ago where a breeder of another line of Beagles was caught falsifying papers and his punishment was a mere 500.00 fine and a six month suspension from AKC privileges.

Not enough in my book, that party should have been banned from AKC forever !! The lousy 500.00 fine was nothing compared to the price the dogs were sold for. Those buying his dogs would be wise to authenticate the pedigrees and when found to be bogus, sue his butt for misrepresentation plus punitive damages. I doubt a dishonest person is going to turn honest as a result of AKE catching them in a lie.

I can well magine how those with now grade dogs must feel. I would be mad.

They should be baned for life,also there has been mention of a class action suite maybe to include AKC. Shut them down for awhile and see what thier attidude is.

I won`t get in a pissin contest with any one over this I have documentation ,now we`ll see what AKC wants to do.

Screw the fine pull the papers on every dog they have bred and any one else that has knowledge of it.

It's a shame that people have to be this way. I used to own a dog that goes back to those dogs mentioned. I'm glad that I never bred him. The reason that I got into breeding my own hounds was I got tired of dealing with dishonest breeders and I swore that I would become better than they were and never try to screw anyone over. Chuck I'm glad that you brought this out in the open for all to see.

Reddog1 I hope every one can understand this,I talked to a man one time asked him what he had,I was talkin about hounds,he said an attitude. Well now I have a bad one. I was high on the Grand mother cross, just wish I would have known this a couple days before.

As for AKC....... I do not think that it does much to protect the integrity of the breed when it only hands out a slap on the wrist for falsifying breeding records. AKC does not even keep a "Black Book" to my knowledge and I doubt they would give out names of dishonest breeders (beyond the monthly Secretary's Page)

The ripple effect of these things effect an untold number of people and dogs. Yes, some additional civil action is called for. Finishing a dog is not a cheap ride and then to have Titles and Registration stripped, to say nothing of the damage to an innocent breeder's reputation. Not an easy pill to swallow!!

Breeding within one's own family of dogs may eventually become the wise thing to do. While it could lead to becoming kennel blind, there would be no question as to the ancestral line of the pups. Fortunate for all of us that this kind of thing happens in a very, very small percentage of breedings and registerations.

One of the hardest things to do was call my buddy Dave Goddard and tell him my old buddy Hondo was a grade gog just like Kojack,and let Shannon Howard know the litter he bought from me was boge`s. I got a black book, it`s pm me.

Im just getting into the Patch hounds . I think its a shame this happened but in realality just think of how many hounds are with bad papers. Im not just talking beagles . I was into trialing coon hounds and i know that was dirty.

chuck, it is a dang shame when a crook and a liar is found out, only because it can hurt many other innocent people . it is hard to choke it down when we look at the crap papers but at least we can still smile when we can hear our great grade dogs opening.

i am also glad this has made it to the open for ALL to see. i have been biting my tongue for a couple weeks now. you have done the right and honest thing by calling us and informing us of what went down. thank you for being one of the most stand up honest people i know. the bad seems to always happen to the good.

oh yeah, chuck if kojac doesnt fit in your kennel anymore he can always come and run with his brother.

Very interesting. I bought two pups from the man who owns Briary Creek Pache O'Hammer two years ago. He told me he would have the papers for me shortly. A few months later he told me that the AKC had sent him a letter telling him he had to have the dog DNA tested due to the number of litters he had sired. Several months went by and when I asked him about it, he said he never heard anything from the AKC after he sent in the DNA test. Sounded strange to me. Since that time, he has stopped communicating with me.
The pedigree I have for Briary Creek Pache O'Hammer has his dam as Plowboy's Patch Polka Dot and Dot's sire as Elmo's Diamond Rio Patch and her dam as Plowboy's Frosty Patch. Strange. I like my dogs out of Briary Creek Pache O'Hammer and I am upset to hear about the problem with the pedigree. I was ready to write to the AKC to see if there was a way to register the dogs without getting litter papers from the breeder. Guess that is out. Looks like I have two grade dogs.

I'm going to say this , I know the only 3 men that would know the true answer to this TERRY VANOSDALE , ELMER MCKENNY , BILL BREDEMEIR ( deceased ) ,
and all are and were upstanding beaglers who have done tons for the beagling world as we know it , and I just can not beleive this to be true . I would like see all the facts and talk to all involved , seems so far all thats been shown is a hand written pedigree that anyone who wanted to harm a beaglers reputation could have written . I'm not saying anyone is lieing , at this point seems the only thing so far done is possible damage to a beaglers reputation .Maybe the answer could have been found by talking to those involved before this posting .
Chuck I can understand your anger , but only if it's true just as anyone would be if it were true .

This not a copy of a pedigree,it is copies of AKC documentation pertaining to the cross of Diamond Sadies Sport and Plowbowys Frosty Patch. I do not have the owner`s permission to post this. He will post the documentation his self.
I was just able to get on the site because of computer problem`s,or I would have responded before.

I asked Chuck, as hard as it was for him, to bite his tongue until I had absolute proof.
And if you think Chuck is pi**ed, well, need I say more!

I did talk to the "breeder" before anything was posted.
The "breeder" told me that the dog (frosty) was old and possibly dead in the late 90's, yet the AKC papers show it was born 12-97.
Not to mention the Digger dog, and any offspring, is a part of this as well..

How convenient to blame a dead man when he cannot defend himself.
And if the deceased man was behind this, as the "breeder" is claiming, the "breeder" went along with it, which is just as bad in my book.

Deny all you want, I have the documentation, I owned Sport, and I have never met the "breeder".
The entire litter registration, including my signature, is forged. It is so obvious, a blind man could tell.

AKC has been notified, they have all of the documentation, and I will do everything in my power to get the "breeder" and anyone else involved, banned for life from the AKC.

I despise lying, deceitful people, all for the almighty dollar.

I apologize to all unsuspecting victims that have or had dogs that trace back to this falsified breeding for bringing this out, but it had to be done.

The world wide web is a wonderful thing. If it wasn't for the internet, I would never have met Chuck, seen the pedigree, and discovered what this culprit did.
I'm sure the thought process was, that northern boy will never be the wiser, NOT!
Chuck, you are one upstanding man in my book, and I'm proud to call you my friend.
