Rufus, I called Los Angeles to try and add some support to your posts. Unfortunately facts supersede liberal spin.

More than a year after Congress approved $800 billion in stimulus funds, the Los Angeles city controller has released a 40-page report on how the city spent its share, and the results are not living up to expectations.
"I'm disappointed that we've only created or retained 55 jobs after receiving $111 million," said Wendy Greuel, the city's controller. "With our local unemployment rate over 12 percent we need to do a better job cutting red tape and putting Angelenos back to work."
According to the audit, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works spent $70 million in stimulus funds -- in return, it created seven private sector jobs and saved seven workers from layoffs. Taxpayer cost per job: $1.5 million."

Angelenos? Are those the poor folks that you and the rest of the liberal crowd have been whining about?

Hmmm? Pine Mountain, could you give us a clue at to where the money went? ACORN, SEIU. or some other get out the vote organization would be a good place to start your research.

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney.com) -- Banks, investment firms and hedge funds are giving millions of dollars more to Republicans, and abandoning the Democrats they had been supporting just a year ago.

The Center for Responsive Politics says the reversal began early this year, as the Senate started crafting tougher rules to crack down on Wall Street, and that it has become more pronounced.

Rufus, you cannot even see how perverse your way of thinking about things is. These are businesses that were promised ONE thing by the lying Kenyan Messiah you worship and found out through his POLICIES and REGULATIONS that he was a LIAR to the nth degree. Since the election you (the self proclaimed INDEPENDENT) have NOT disagreed with ONE SINGLE THING this administration has done to the American people. Thats not independent thinking, as your constant cut and paste drivel shows...thats blind devotion to an ideology that is rapidly failing and soon to be thrown out of office.

Are you by any chance on anti anxiety meds in anticipation of the November elections?

Maybe you should get Chief to send you to different websites, you are running out of material thats relevant.

Karl Rove Says Christine O'Donnell Needs to Explain Witchcraft 'Dabbling' to Voters
Karl Rove, political mastermind for former President George W. Bush, said Sunday that Christine O'Donnell, the Tea Party insurgent who won an upset victory in Delaware for the GOP Senate nomination, "can't simply ignore" the controversy stirred over the disclosure that she "dabbled in witchcraft" and has to find a way to "explain it and put it in its most sympathetic light and move on."

"In southern Delaware, where there are a lot of church-going people, they're probably going to want to know what was that all about," Rove said on "Fox News Sunday." "And again, she said it on television when she went on the .

Rove was referring to an October 1999 appearance O'Donnell made on Maher's "Politically Incorrect" show where she said," I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. ... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it." O'Donnell had been on Maher's show frequently in the 1990s, and Maher has said he is going to show an O'Donnell clip each week until she agrees to appear again.

Rove said that in whatever way O'Donnell deals with the quote from her past, she can't say, "These are unfactual and not true and ... go to my website and ignore them."

"I don't think the people of Delaware have or are accepting that as a reasonable explanation," Rove said. "And until they do, they're going to be resistant to hearing the bigger, broader, more important message."

Oh and by the way I think that witch hunts have been cancelled...
Have you checked into the other people in the actual White House and read all the creepy stuff they dabble into? I don't think so or you would have posted their stuff....

Isn't threatening someone to tell on them if they don't do what you want them to do "Black Mail" Hmmm she is smart not to jump on that train cause he will do it anyway anything to get high ratings...

Rufus, it appears that Rove and the Rockefeller wing of the Republican party have more in common with the democrats than folks who want to quit wasting taxpayers money. I suspect Rove is losing credibility with conservatives faster than O' Donnel.
Rove needs to explain why they thought trying to outspend the democrats was sound fiscal policy. It didn't work for daddy (read my lips, no new taxes) Bush and it was disasterous for Son and the republicans that were in poser.

Top Five Republican Gay Sex Scandals
August 31st, 2007

Q: How many Republican politicians can you fit in the closet?
A: Evidently, all of them.

It’s gone past ridiculous and straight to the absurd. At this point, it appears your average public restroom has more gay Republicans in it than clean handtowels. The “holier-than-thou” party has spent an awful lot of time on their knees this past year, but they haven’t been doing a lot of praying.

I have no theories why this is the case, other than I think that being gay is the way God made some people and being conservative is a choice, and almost every Republican I’ve met thinks the opposite.

But why question it? The larger point is that if you enjoy seeing politicians destroyed by their own hypocrisy, it’s been a very, very good year. So I give you the top five republican gay sex scandals of the past 12 months.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mark Foley
U.S. Representative

The Crime: Sending sexually laced, gramatically challenged instant messages and e-mails to teenaged boys in the Congressional page program for more than 10 years.

The Hypocrisy: Chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. One of the foremost opponents of child pornography in the Senate.

The Quote: “get a ruler and measure it for me”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ted Haggard
Leader of the National Association of Evangelicals

The Crime: Paying male prostitutes for sex and snorting crystal meth.

The Hypocrisy: A powerful force in the evangelical movement, Haggard participated in weekly meetings with President George Bush and top advisors where he gave spiritual advice. He taught that homosexuality was an abomination and actively lobbied against gay rights.

The Quote: “I did not have a homosexual relationship with a man in Denver.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Larry Craig
U.S. Senator
Senate Liason for Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign

The Crime: Soliciting sex from an undercover cop in an airport bathroom

The Hypocrisy: Craig twice voted against adding the words “sexual orientation” to the federal hate crimes law. Craig also voted to give states the right to refuse to recognize gay marriage–a right they already had, but the Senator wanted to really, really prove he didn’t like gay people.

The Quote: “I am not gay, I don’t do these kinds of things.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bob Allen
Member of the Florida House of Representatives
Florida Chairman of John McCain’s Presidential

The Crime: Offering an undercover cop $20 to allow Allen to blow him in a men’s room in a public park. After being arrested, Allen tried to explain that he only offered to blow the cop because the cop was a “burly black man” and he “didn’t want to become a statistic.”

The Hypocrisy: Allen was one of 21 Florida legislators to sign Gov. Jeb Bush’s friend-of-the-court brief supporting the state’s ban on gays adopting children, and he co-sponsored an unsuccessful bill that would have enhanced penalties for “offenses involving unnatural and lascivious acts” such as indecent exposure.

The Quote: “I certainly wasn’t there to have sex with anybody and certainly wasn’t there to exchange money for it.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glenn Murphy Jr.
National Chairman of the Young Republicans
Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party

The Crime: Murphy got a fellow Young Republican drunk and then spent the night at his house. The other young man woke up in the middle of the night to find Murphy giving him mouth-to-penis resuscitation. After this incident, a 1998 sexual battery report came to light in which Murphy was alleged to have done the exact same thing.

The Hypocrisy: Murphy was a well-paid political consultant for Republican candidates and often advised them to use gay marriage as a wedge issue to paint their opponents as out of touch with traditional values.

WOW Rufus, the race issue wasnt working for you so you dredge up a story from 2007 about gays in the Republican party to slam WHO exactly??? I thought the platform you support welcomed EVERYONE, gays included? Are you telling us that you are against gays now, in spite of what your messiah Obambi says about them? Or are you just against REPUBLICAN gays?

What does any of this info you just cut and pasted (again) have to do with the current administration and either policy or the upcoming elections??

Maybe you would be comfortable with a SLAM GAYS forum...didnt know you were a bigot and a homophobe too...

HOWEVER, you have FINALLY shown some independence from your beloved messiah Obambi...he would NEVER openly slam gays as you have done. You agree with Republicans after all on at least ONE issue....cloak it under the guise of revealing republican hypocrisy as much as you can, but you have let your TRUE feelings show about gay people...you hate them.

Corker Booed By Workers At GM Plant Ceremony, Takes Credit For Saving Industry That He Opposed Saving
General Motors recently announced that, thanks to federal efforts to keep the American auto industry from going under, it would be able to rehire 483 workers at its Spring Hill, Tennessee plant to manufacture “three variants of Ecotec four-cylinder engines.” The $438 million arrangement will start producing engines for the Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC models by 2011.

As auto blog Jalopnik reports, the plant recently held a ceremony to welcome back the new workers to begin production of the Ecotec engines. Attending the ceremony were three local Republican legislators, Sens. Bob Corker, Lamar Alexander, and Rep. Marsha Blackburn. Ironically, all three of these lawmakers opposed the plans to save General Motors and other U.S. auto companies. This didn’t stop Corker from taking credit for the federal rescue, anyway. At the event he claimed he “contributed to strengthening the auto industry in this country.” Jalopnik reports that “irony of the Republican lawmakers’ presence wasn’t lost on the workers who attended the ceremony; they booed Tennessee Republican Bob Corker”:

REPUBLICAN'S AGAINST EVERY THING AMERICA STANDS FOR ,WITH ONE OF THEIR MANY FACES BUT,TRY TO CONVINCE PEOPLE,THAT,THEY REALLY HELPED THEM,KINDA LIKE SAYING,WELL I SHOT YOU, BUT,YOU DIDN'T NEED TO LIVE ANYWAY,SO YOU ARE BETTER OFF.

— Republicans Pledge To America is exactly what you’d expect from a political party which has absolutely nothing to offer in the way of new ideas. Nothing.
