I got some Corid powder and mixed it with water and gave to my pups just to be safe and gave it to all of the dogs even the one that is having pups ,but if that pup is that sick he would be at the vet

thanks for the response's,the pup did have parvo, and he made it thru with alot of attention,a friend of mine told me about using peach juice, and thats what i did,i was giving the pup about 5 shots full of heavy syrup peach juice right from can of peaches right down his throat, about every 3hrs or so,tryin to keep him hydrated,he also had water with a little peach juice has well, the first 24hr i didnt think he was gonna make it,totally down and out and not responding much, just kept giving him that stuff, and the next day he was on his feet, still a little out of it,really tired, started giving him the hole peaches mashed eating a little at a time, thru that day,the next day a hole lot better,up walking, barking, eatting solid food mixed with peach juice and pear juice, kept him on that for a couple more days, and know he his completely fine, site chasing rabbits in my starting at 11wks,just gave the rest of my kennel there yearly 7way shots, all the other dogs are fine, has i found out that pups only get it,and yes he was vaccinated,he got his first shots from the breeder i got him from,i waited giving him the other shot, because i was worming him and i held off, wont make that mistake again, other than that the pup is doing extremely well and im glad he made it,thanks for the responces.

Jeff
from just having a dog with parvo over a year ago and seven hundred dollars later.. you are very lucky to have been able to treat it at home and not run up a large vet bill.. Congrats.. my vet told me there is a strain of parvo going around that one of the brands of parvo shots does not cover. weather this is true or not i dont know. now since you have had parvo clean everything with bleach.. It can live for up to one year.. so be careful what dogs come to your place and i wouldnt have any pups there for another year or you might be in the same boat again.. I burnt the box that my pup stayed in and sprayed about 5 gallons of bleach.. My vet said older dogs can get it but that there immune system is stronger and dosnt show up like it does in the pups.. he might be totally wrong but thought i would share this info with you before you thought you were in the free and clear..Hope some of this helps , just my two cents

A buddy of mine told me his vet told him the same thing. I think he said there was another parvo shot called 7-Way plus or something like that but I haven't looked to see.

sam, thanks for the heads up,i did clean everything with bleach and i,ve been cleaning about every two days, thats what my friend said about parvo,he works for a vet and going to school to be a vet, pretty much it has to run its course,he's been over here and checked my other dogs and there doing good,i just gave all my dogs and the pup all 7ways,so hopefully i dont have this problem again,he also is the one that told me about peach juice,he also said i could bring him to the vet office pay 24hr around the clock care plus iv drugs and whatever else they do,for a pup that really only has about a 50 percent chance at living,i almost did that, then he told me anywhere from 500.00 -1000.00 and still no guarantee he would survive, then he told me about the peaches,it worked for me,not sure if anyone else has done this but its worth trying.thanks
