Well ur lucky to have eiether in my eyes day in and day out males are hard to beat(If they got brains and heart).I just am sorta parcel bitches dunno why.I have yet to fill the order for what i am breeding for, option a is maybe the bars too high or option b. Just to dang picky. I refuse to back down and if i cant move ahead then i will just stop all together thats option c.I can lay hands on about 5 males that turn me on for studs.I still say them females are just so hard to come by.Junie is gone so better hope my plan pays off.

I would agree that the bitch will contribute over 60 - 70% to the pups & I do perfer females. That being said, I would love to have a reproducing male. The Great ones are hard to find.

My answer is a two part answer.. 1ST I would rather have a GREAT Female because that is what I would base my kennel on.

In the SPO format Field Champions will usually bred to a FC female for free and as I always relate " The Farmer has only ONE BULL"

I hear there is a guy in Southern NC that can hook you up with some nice male pups.I really like the 2 male pups I got from you as they topped out at 17" or better.I have tried to get some pups with that same hight and speed but haven't been to lucky.I hait their mom passed away this year as they were exactly what I was looking for.I like lookin down at a bigdog if you know what I mean.lol!!

Great post, it seems a new stud dog appears in a beagler magazine or a forum like this, which in my opinion backs up your post. Finding the right one is a different. Its like what Mr. Conroe said in a recent thread, with the internet everyone seems to have a stud dog. Two great posts, from Mr. Conroe and Mr. Abshire.

I prefer males I like good bitches to but like the big boys bumpin heads .If you have a true reproducer he will throw good ones off average gyps .
