My first PKC Trial....(Now with Video)

Post by Joeyman »

Edit **scroll further down for the link**

:approve: :approve: :approve: :approve: Wanted to share this picture of me and my lightning dog from this morning. Had a great time and I encourage you to try PKC. I had a great time and thought it was fun. Different way of judging and gets all the handlers involved which was fun. Overall I give it two thumbs up and will try it again. Great bunch of people to be around and some very nice dogs running this morning. But the Best part of all is the Cash.... lol

we throw her up under the measure stand took two measurements on her. Got a 12-3/4 and a 13inch measurement. I was wanting to know so I can see if she'd be ok for the AKC Midwest 13"bitch class.

No did not win the whole thing, Lightning got the lucky win in her group. We only had 3 groups that went out. Two in the morning and one after we got back. The more dogs that show up the more money pays out. Casts of up to 4dogs per group. This was in illinois. Not to far from me thats why I went cause it was close.

They are having another in 3wks. Get your dogs ready guys and give it a try. You'll need a good jump dog and a drive dog. They will get you points. Not a check dog.

I think the more people that try this the more thats going to like it. Tony and Toby are really working on getting all the grey areas in the rules worked out so there is not any questions, if u guys run into a question dont hesitate calling them they will help u out, and if u have questions of the rules call them and they will help u out.

If your drive dog is good enough shouldnt lose the rabbit to have any checks.

Here is video that Dave took of the Trial. The white flash is my Lightning dog she is right behind his dog named midnight. Midnight has the longer bark.....Lightning has the quick constant bark sort of high just a hair. She comes thru second into the corn.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDFMlQJFgy0 most action is at 1:20 fast forward to that point in the video. Lightning come running past 2nd in line so she got 75points for that and that midnight dog got 100 points for being first coming across on the line.

thanks buckeyeblues.

All of us that attended had a great time. It was a smooth trial hosted by Kevin Hall. Come on out and give it a try I know their are more beaglers in this area that can make the drive over.

I made my entry fee back plus a profit. You can't beat that!!
