Interesting point. Could there be a "white backlash"? I surely hope not but Obama has been caricatured and slurred in some very vial forms. I don't think the politicians are going to outright use the race card but they will make reference to it to get votes from those whom it will affect.

Anecdote: I was discussing the election in 2008 with my cousin in Kentucky. After a while, he said, "Buck I agree with everything you say but I just can't vote for a N***r." I said, "Well my friend. If you admit you are a bigot, and you do, there is little more I can say and that is the most honest thing I have heard lately". It is, perhaps, one of the most dangerous also.

Buck, do you not think there are black folks who voted FOR Obama simply because he IS black? This crap about racism only going one way, only exposes that they wouldn't know racism if it slapped them in the face. Racism in most cases is the card you play when you can't make the facts agree with you. There are racists out there that are black, white, yellow, red, men and women but the worst kind are the ones who make the stupid statements about a whole race being racists, that is the very definition of racism and how many times do you hear that being said about "White Men"?

I happen to know that it has been reported that Obama is half white and half black, he has chosen to implement policies I think are damaging to our country. Does that make me a racist against his black half or his white half? Personally I don't like Pelosi or Reid for the same reasons I don't like Obama. I still have been called a racist by PMB and many other liberals who disagree with how I feel about their policy. Who brought race into the equation and why?

Tim, I am absolutely sure there are many black people who voted for Obama because he is black. I am also sure there are many black bigots. My point, is that bigotry is bad where ever it is found. Vote for whomever you choose but do so in a thoughtful manner considering all the facts. Bigotry is not a fact to vote on. It is a human failure in my opinion.
