Help with worming pups

I just bought a quart of Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension and it is labeleb as 50mg/mL Pyrantel Pamoate. What is the correct dosage for 2 week old pups. I will need to start worming them this thursday so any and all responses would be greatly aprreciated.

One to 2 cc at two weeks, 3cc at four weeks and 4 cc at 6 weeks. Pyrantel is the most recommended dewormer for pups and even lactating bitches. Isolated instances are known where a pup had a reaction to some medication. Same as with humans. Do not forget to deworm the bitch, 5cc for each 10 pounds of body weight at 2 week intervals.

Like Chip posted 50 mg Pyrantal the recommended dosage is 1cc per 5-10 lbs per body weight. I worm at the rate of 1cc per 10lbs, and deworm pups every week until 10 weeks and then once a month there after.

I have used Nemex2 & Evict DS for years and both are Pyrantel Pamoate based. Are you all using a wormer labeled as Pyrantel? I looked in Jeffers and did not see a wormer for cattle, horses or dogs labeled as Pyrantel. Help teach an old dog a new trick.

The dosage of Nemex 2 is 1cc per 2 lbs.

Nemex 2 is 5 mg pyrantal so it takes alot more to accomplish the same rate as the 50 mg, plus its really expensive. I buy from revival animal.com, they have a 32 oz bottle of 50 mg pyrantal for like $35.00, and it will last a longtime, by far less expensive than nemex2 and you use alot less as well.
