My personal "all time" top 10, where either they or the dogs that they produced shook-up or/and changed the very coarse of beagling.

Elora Blue Diamond
May Patch
Yellow Creek Jessica
Baronet Darkness
Dickburn's Lady
Merritone Roxie
Cunningham's Annie
Branko's Close Call Girl
Anna's Anne

Looking back at my dogs in my kennel, I can`t find a single one without Branko`s Close Call Girl in it. She was out of Anna`s Ann, so I guess the same can go with her. Its pretty hard to say the best in history, but we could all argue our favorite of today.
If you look at the last 10 years on the midwest gundog site, Holesack Cool Charlene has won the best dam reproducer award 5 of the last 10 years. Thats pretty impressive. http://www.mid-west-gundog.com/

If needed I am most likely in a local Briar Patch.

I always liked dogs out of this female

LP.RCH Hollywood's Rising Star (Out of IFC Trakarab Pacesetter & IFC Sand County Penney)

She threw good hounds out of every male she was bred to!

For Grade dogs this bitch threw great dogs also!

LP.RCH Westmoreland's Little Girl - ARHA/NKC Registered only.

God Girl threw some nice hounds!

Statistically I guess I would also have to go with Annas Ann, although the best producer of hounds that I have personally seen is HBCH Smith's Weedeater T-Ann. I've seen pups out of her from 3-4 different males and all are top notch jumpdogs with awesome hunt and rabbit sense.
Dry Creek Kennel-Bred to get it done where it counts the most "under the gun".

Just for information, would you men look at the Dams you have posted on here as producing great dogs and see who was the kennel or man that bred these dogs.

So many times we give credit to the person carrying on the great blood but overlook the men that are dead and gone that bred the startup dog for these great kennels or Dams.

I think it would be interesting.

Amen alabama John
we who are breeding from these 'Great' producing females are just the custodians
for now of the breeding that was done generations ago of the bloodline
we do the best with it while here and hopefully pass it on to the next generatio in hopes they dont destroy what was given them
