Sounds to me the question should have been what Dog or Dogs would you base your kennel off of. In that case I would say I base my kennel breeding program off Heli Prop and Hard Rock, which you might as well say Im basing it off Jack of all Trades. My experience with Prop bred dogs seem to be very smart level headed, fast run to catch style, endless desire. Nice insideout check work. They seem to be able to run under alot of conditions. Have heard that too much Heli Prop up close creates too much nose, but my male was a double grandson and he didnt have no cold trailing. Hard rock seems to throw fast clean running hounds. The cons of Hard rock that I have seen are some can be shy and alot are what I would consider high maintenance dogs, meaning the more they are conditioned the better they settle down.

I probably could have picked a better title name. Sorry, I like your input and like to run the same bloodline as you. Hard Rock dogs in my opinion throws brains and fast clean hounds with great line control. I like crossing it with turbo dogs for the hunt and desire. They also have big noses. I know heli prop is turbo dad and might not have all the same traits because of the female, but I get at least 50 % of the heli prop,

Listen, I don't want this to be offensive in anyway. Just seeing some of the patch hounds I have seen with my own eyes, They don't have enough foot to please me. I might not have seen the best patch hounds, but I have seen them in at least 5 different states. I am only speaking on what I have seen, not here say. They have all had extreme hunt, great mouths, and great line control. They have only had medium foot speed. Most of the dogs have been out of a FC Sniper Dog from Michigan. In anyway not trying to down the line, i would like to hear where the fast ones are. They have some star qualities. I hope that you don't get mad and tell me a stud you know of that has at least a 8 in foot( mid-west style) out of 10. I would love to see one go.

The only Sniper I know of is Oakgrove Sniper of GR's. I saw him as a 2 year old at Gr's kennel. Never knew of him entering any trials tho...

I've ran with a few branco's an never got left behind to far. Matter of fact, on the third day after the patches got the hare going, the branco still ran just fine.

I think Preacher gave you a honest answer to your question. Of all those "star qualities" you mention, foot speed is the easiest to select and breed for, after you've got hunt and running ability... ;)

Thank you MR S R Patch, I ment nothing against the line. You are probable right about the foot, and easiest to breed in. thank you for the input. I will try to find out the dogs full name my uncle bred his female to about 6 years ago.

I run Townline Johnie Paycheck, I also run Patch, I have some old Indian Hill stuffe hanging around also they are getting old, but i will take care of them to they die. Over the years i have owned, Pearson Creek, Round pond,Boggie, and some under the barn dogs. To say which one would be the dominent, that would be hard to say i fed them all and killed a lot of rabbits of them , and won some trials with them. GOD BLESS
beagle trials are ment to be enjoyed , they should be fair to the best of the honest oppinion
