Best Line Control Dogs or Lock on Dogs that you have SEEN~~~

Post by johns03272008 »

Now that we have gotten a chance to hear about some of the great check dogs what about the Great Line Control dogs or dog that can just flat lock on or are reproducing dogs that can do this and make those 90 degree turns and pull out of a hard driving pack and make others look dumb, a dog or dogs that have very few checks and im not talking about a mouthy POS :bash: that just makes it sound like its still running a rabbit im talking about a dog that you have witnessed just flat pound a rabbit for a long time with out breaking down for more than say 5 seconds and only having those 5 second break downs every so often and i know with all the speed that most of us like its sometimes hard to not have some break downs but just want to hear what some other dogs can do or are reproducing!!!! Lets keep it clean and fun here!!!

The winners cast at coatsville, Indiana. They pushed the rabbit hard in a bad scenting day. They ended up catching the rabbit and he was stiff and sweaty. The dogs were out of branko's red runner.

Also will give credit to Green Bay Shooter, Larsen's Jackson and Dirty Pond Tangeree.

IFC BRANKO'S HELIPROP NOT ONLY COULD HE GET A CHECK AND TAKE IT FROM THE PACK, BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE RAN VERY SMOOTH WITH MINIMAL LOSES AND WHEN HE DID HAVE A CHECK IT WAS VERY SHORT AND HE WAS GONE AGAIN, FOR ICING ON THE CAKE HE WAS A HECK OF A REPRODUCER DONT YOU THINK, FC TURBO POWERED BY PROP, IFC BRANKO'S PROPER BARON JUST TO MENTION A COUPLE OF PROPS OFFSPRING AND WHAT ABOUT THE WHOLE LITTER MURRAY RIED RAISED OUT OF PROP, WHICH INCLUDE IFC MURRYAS LITTLE BLAZER. I THINK ALL BUT 2 OUT OF THE LITTER MADE FC OR FTCH OR IFC AND THOSE 2 HAD MANY PLACES INCLUDING WINS IN EITHER CANADA OR USA. IVE GOT A YOUNG MALE OUT OF MY LUMBERJACK SON AND A HELIPROP GRANDAUGHTER THAT IS YOUNG BUT SHOWING ALOT OF PROMISE AND RUNS VERY VERY HARD BUT SMOOTH AND CAN ALREADY TURN A RABBIT ON HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND REST OF MY PACK AT ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD, BUT TIME WILL TELL WITH HIM.

Chris,
There were four pups in that litter and all made at least FC except Murray's Beethovan and he is still a pretty good hound at 11 years old and the only one in that litter that is still living. I have a female pup out of Beethovan that just turned 1 year old and is showing good line control.

World Champion Rocky Ridge Libby owned by Bill Gildersleve. I thought she was mouthy until I saw her hold on to a track and not let go.

IFC Brankos Pied Piper was a 13" male I judged twice, and put wins on him both times. He was something to see!

15" dog would be, FC Buddy's Iron Eagle, winning Black River bc, Large pack trial in 97. He locked and never looked back.

Of the dogs I owned, FC Rheaumes Blue Syris, was something to see on the line. I dont think in the mid-west there was ever a dog in front of him that could hold the line. He wasnt the best jump dog, or the handsomest beagle I ever had, but wow could he flat out smoke!

GRCH Lahti's Brush Hog. Judged him a few years ago at the World, he was fast and smooth.

Hammond's Muletown Bo. He would jump rabbits that other dogs would walk past and run them like he was tied to it.
