Mounting suggestions for shock-tracking collar

Post by kbspeed »

Looking to see how some of you guys have mounted your shock collar and tracking collars, whether together or on seperate collars. Shock collar is a tri-tronics, tracking collar is a wildlife 3850. Would like to fit a bell in there also.Currently have the units on seperate collars with the bell on the tracking collar. Kind of like them on seperate collars in case of a collar coming off.

PM Spruce Ridge, I seem to remember him giving some advice about this a little while back too.

I got some trackers that slide on to your shock collar from west coast telemetry.

I had mine mounted like the picture and I lost range on the shock collar. It would loose range everytime I used the e collar it would start the day fine and by the 2nd or 3rd shock it would only reach 100 yds. I took it apart and put it back to 2 collars and it worked fine again. I do not understand why because they are side by side when on the dogs?

I did it the same way as Pzt but I put the tracker between the shocker and the buckle and run the antenna right thru the D ring and buckle. Seems I could get it to fit small dogs better that way
