Wompass Cat stalking my dogs

i almost went to the federal pen once a few years back for killing one the one i killed was kinda brindle color mostly black n yellow it walked on its paws part time some time it walked upright vicious looking cat looking thing it was at night dogs came running back to me with their tails between their legs scared to even move it walked right up on me but from behind me i whirled around and shot it full in the face with a 9 mm local wardens got wind of it had to go to court cost me a bundle to get a lawyer only reason i got out of it n didnt go to jail they said since it wasnt a native species of wv they couldnt proscute me thats the only one i ever seen but have heard them late in the evening right about dark sounds like a woman screaming at times then at times sounds like a baby crying i hope i never see another one i almost went out of thye dog business over this wampuss cat i hear they travel in a wide range n feed on meat only if you ever see or hear one you wont forget it sounds like nothing ya never heard before all i did was get out of my truck and slammed the truck door shut then the crying started then turned into screams dogs wouldnt hunt rest of the night jb

Dale Pea I really wish u would have at least got a shot off...I'm bringin the Bluetick Nation to the Carolinas for the St hunt and thought I was escaping the wompass cats by leaving KY but apparently they are everywhere!!!....CPC nice pic looks like a young one...Chimney Rock I may take u up on the contract coon dog wipeout plan Ill take all the help I can get...Hounddog hope the juice is loose this weekend!!!

Matt, it will be but I won't be there to share. It's my Birthday weekend and I'm going to be running something other than hounds!

you know something. Last night i ran two pups from about 7pm till dark. Well on my walk out I had the dogs on the leash and we were truckin thru some brush and a big black cat ran out from under us scared the crap out of me. I thought of this thread.

also I found a half eaten rabbit. I found out who done that. I hope he leaves. baby rabbits are in the ground. Don't need no cat eating them at my training grounds. I bout turned the dogs loose on its ass. But I don't want to teach them that.

I talked to Blair and Chad Grey on the phone they say that a farmer close by them has showed them some strange tracks that appear to be made by a large cat. These two are out in the bush setting up trail cams so hopefully more pics are on the way

down here in the flat coastal plains all the wampass cats have been wiped out by the galliwompers, they are the meanes creature on earth, they got a gator head on one end and a croc head on the other, what makes them so mean is they got no end to crap!!!

Here is an adult caught on a webcam in daytime. A trapper friend, Zack Webb, had this picture and let me have it today. He said it was taken in Adair County, Mt Carmel Area near Green River in 1999. Only one he got on camera and none got in his traps, He did see one will running his traps in 2001. Do you guys think this is a Wompus Cat or what. Looks like stories I have heard. I Would like to see one in person.

Off all the pictures posted, none look like what I saw last night. The thing I saw didn't have 6 legs. It wasn't a bobcat or a mountain lion, or a lynx. It did have some yellow colored spots and made a sound that is best described between a baby crying and a woman screaming.

Stll wondering if the one I saw was a young one, or if they all have spots.
