Haveing aproblem need some help.
I have a 9 month old male pup doing great in the field. Have been worming all my dogs at frist off each month with ivomectic. This pup has had about 3 theatmeats.But I still notice some small falt looking wroms in his stool and now sometimes alittle slim mucus. He still eats but his coat is alittle dull.what do think Isould do.

Occasional mucus in the stool is nothing to be worried about and I can't remember the type of worm but there are intestinal parasites that are not taken care of by Ivermectin. Take a stool sample into your vet and they should give you something to clear it up. Hope this helps.

I have been told that ivermectin won't kill tape worms. I think it is used mostly for heart worms.

Thanks for the advise started all my dogs on safe guard goat wormer seems to have taken care of the problem.Thanks again.
