Safe-guard goat wormer

Post by ridge hunter »

I have never tried this product before and would like to know how to use it without overdosing my dogs. The product that I have is Safe-guard (fenbendazole) Dewormer for goats Suspension 10% (100mg/ml.) For a 25lb goat it calls for 0.6ml. . Could someone tell me what me what the proper dosage is for dogs. Your help will be greatly appreciated

When I've used it I used 1cc for every 5lbs so that's close to MERCK but I think you only have to give it once a day 3 days in a row.

I've used Safeguard for years. it's like rainwater, you can't hurt em' at all with it and it's a great wormer. I give about 1 ml. for every 10 lb. of dog. Your 30 lb. beagle will get 3ml. I've got a friend that uses the big syringe of Safeguard horse wormer on his coon hounds. He splits it up in 3 doses and gives them a dose every other day until it's gone. Kills the worms, and the worms that hatch during the six day period.

Has anyone used this on small pups and if so how much do you give them? I use it for my grown dogs and use 1 ml. for every 10 lbs. and was just wondering if it is safe for pups.
