We are trying to put a game plan together to get the fairgrounds cleaned up so there is plenty of parking and we can manuver in and out without issues. As far as the cast sites go, we are gonna have to rely on mother nature for some help there.

Temps were in the high 30's today, the wind was blowing, and the sun was out. This is supposed to continue through the weekend according to the 10 day forecast. Looks like temps close to freezing and nuisance snow next week.

i live 20 minutes from where the trial will be held. i ran dogs today and we jumped 5 rabbits but 3 went straight to holes and 2 were about 15- 20 min chases. snow has melted off some.its suppose to rain a little and hopefully melt more. where i was running there is still about 12 inches of snow left but its real wet now that its melting. hope this helps out .

LEP, correct there is early registration friday night. You can also register on Saturday morning before 6am. It is possible that not all the dogs will get run on Saturday, so that is why Sunday is on the schedule also. There will not be 2 different hunts on different days.

With temps around 40 degrees the last few days the snow has sure dropped in the mountains. I can only imagine what it looks like down at the fairgrounds and cast areas. Today and tommorow is supposed to be mid 30's down there it sure looks like mother nature is trying as hard as she can to help us!

We will run whatever it takes to get it done. Hopefully mother nature will continue to help but the snow seems to still be plenty deep. I was down yesterday and snow depth ranges anywhere from 8" to 24" depending on drifting. Forecast is for a storm to move through starting Thursday with 8 to 14 inches in the forecast for that system with the snow wrapping up on Saturday and a warm 29 degrees with mostly cloudy skies for Sunday. The melt looks to be over after today so there will be plenty of snow on the ground for the hunt. Night time temps are to be in the teens through the weekend so it will be hard frozen in the mornings. Hope this helps and hope to see everyone make it.

Is there any updated information that you can provide on the current conditions in PA? The forecast does not look good for those of us planning to travel from Ohio to PA on Friday.

If I have read the rules right? You can register a dog at the hunt for ARHA ( NKC) correct ? Now what if you have a dog that is ARHA ( NKC ) but not in your name yet? Can I bring his papers and slips to the hunt and register him to my name ? Both dogs are also AKC but havent got them in our name yet? Thanks for any help and info

I have heard several reports anything from 2"-8", 3"-10" or more of snow by late Friday/early Saturday? This is on top of what is already on the ground! The wind is supposed to start up tomorrow approx 25 mph wind gusts.

You can register a dog that hasn't been at the hunt but there is no way to transfer ownership at a hunt.

Weather update: 13 to 26 inches by Sunday at noon and it is snowing now

I wouldn't put much faith in these forecasts though they have been all over the map the last week

I hope everyone has a safe trip and we will see you Saturday
