Todays coyote hunt. Clean pics

Post by mobeagle »

Started today a couple buddies spotted a pair of coyotes across from my uncles driveway. We put out Jill my uncles female and Cheyanne my female on it at 7:15. They took it hard with alot of sightings and few misses for hour after hour after hour and hardly ever skipped a beat. About 2 hours in or so we got my uncles old dog dozer in with them they poured it on for miles driving this coyote got in a few big patches and would circle for a little while until lead would fly then scoot out again. At 3:00 I put two of my 1 1/2 year old females that were fresh out on him and at 4:30 he finally ran in a junk ditch. The first set of dogs ran 19 miles and the second set ran 4 according to the garmin! The dogs on the far left and right are the ones that ran him for the first 8 hours and got a good feeding tonight and nice pat on the back they did a hell of job today. The middle two ran him for the last hour and half and put the heat on him while they were out. The bottom picture is one my uncle shot at the end of the day. Yesterday we ran one for 5 hours with my uncles popeye and jenny dog and my shelly dog and he got in an evergreen patch and circled forever and I finally went in and got em it was getting late. The dogs in the pic from left to right are Cheyanne Shelly Ann and Jill and Dozer the old dog isnt pictured. The guys are my brother in law JR, my buddy Nick and the bald guy on the far right is my ugly mug.

For those of you who can handle it the link at the bottome is a short action video of one they caught a few days ago.

We didnt shoot him he ran in a junk pile but he was probably 3 miles from where we turned them loose when he gave up. He went several miles north and then came back home towards the end.

Black and tan coonhound crossed on yote hounds is what they are. Dont need anymore dogs the dogs that run it get the reward at the end not a dog ridin around in the pickup thats useless.
