A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
cheatman,i hope ya dont get your hunting grounds all crowded up with guys from posting so many pics.the hare population may get a pounding.
i am only 85 miles from cheat mountain,i have a place at deep creek and i am thinking of running down that way now.them west va hare are much closer to me than these pa ones.
Truth be told these two rabbits were killed 13 months apart on two different mountains after several hunting trips. Pictures make it look easy sometimes. I ran one last season from 9 am until 6 pm every time they would lose it I tried to catch them they would find it and go again. I had to leave them come home and get a light and go back and find them. I am glad i new the area. So bring a gps and give it a try.
After this last big snow, I don't think anyone will be able to get into them the rest of the season, so they are safe for now. LOL If I were you, I would check into Dolly Sods. It would be much closer for you and holds a descent population of hare. If you head this way after the weather breaks, (spring) give me a shout and I will gladly show you around that area. As Dave said, I would bring a GPS!
i dont live at deep creek, just have a place there,i am just 1 hour north of morgan town.
i would love to run them hare down there.they are much closer than the pa hare up in the secret area hehe
