Which Dog Food Ingredients?

Post by Spini Boys »

Dont want to know what food, just a simple question as to which of the two listed below would you feed and why. If you had to choose from only the two different foods below which one would you choose, and why? I am only listing the first 6 ingredients:

Feed #1:
Chicken By-Product Meal, Rice, Corn Meal, Chicken Fat, Dried Beet Pulp, Corn Gluten Meal.

Feed #2:
Meat Meal, Corn Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Ground wheat, Pultry Fat, Chicken By-Product Meal.

Which one?

If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

1 both are full or fillers but i would go with one because it seems to be a little less fillers and has atleast some part of a chicken. thats a tough one i would pick neither but if i had to id go with 1

#1, its protien source is named, chicken. In #2 meat meal can be anything from road kill to possum.
Also in #1 the fat source is named as chicken fat and in #2 its poultry fat which can be fat from anything with feathers.
My choice is #1

I picked #1 as well (although I agree with the neither comment). My reasoning is the filler as well. Ingredients are listed on a package from the highest proportioned ingredient to the least. In #1 at last 50% of the top four ingredients are chicken products. In #2 75% of the top 4 ingredients are filler.
