I'm already seeing alot of finger pointing so let's point out the facts...

I see quite a few posts here covering international trade, free trade agreements, and keeping american jobs in America. And yet you are the very same people who vehemently supported John McCain in the last election cycle...

John McCain co-sponsored NAFTA
John McCain voted yes on CAFTA
Quite frankly John McCain has never met a free trade agreement he didn't like... he has ultimately voted Yes on every single FTA to cross his desk.

Yet you all supported him in the last election... brilliant.


So how do we fix the American economy?

Cut tax loopholes that allow american money to be banked off-shore and remain untaxed. When that money is sitting unused in an off-shore account it isn't being used to create jobs. It isn't being invested in business.
Tax corporations heavier for creating products outside of the US and then re-importing them inside our borders. Their corporate offices are inside of America, sure. 65% of their workforce is American, ok. But they should still be taxed the same on that other 35% as any other outside business is.
Pin incentive bonuses on Wall Street to actual economic growth. They already get a salary, the bonuses are just that... a bonus. So why should an executive for any corporation get a bonus when their actions causes their company to tank?
And last but certainly not least. Close the newly created loophole allowing Corporations to spend money on political campaigns. That money is shareholder money. That money can and should be invested back into their business. Corporations are not individuals and therefore should not be afforded the same individual rights as you or me.

So much is wrong about your so called "facts" in this post, you should have taken time to research instead of taking some other liberal idiots word about things....

They CAN however run ads favoring a certain political view and in those ads they are NOT allowed to mention ANY politician. You say that money CAN AND SHOULD BE INVESTED BACK INTO THEIR BUSINESS...who the hell are you to say what a company SHOULD do with its money?? Actually it would be better to say that the money should be redistributed BACK TO THE SHAREHOLDERS if desired...government should have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it....


You see, there is a common theme to your post. GOVERNMENT should TAX and then determine what to do with the money. Thats what keeps corporations NOW from investing here in the US as much as they would if GOVERNMENT would just get out of the way. But when you falsely stated that we on this board "vehemently" supported McCain it set the tone for the rest of your lies. The only thing that was "vehement" was our opposition to the socialist policies of Obambi.

I know it's popular to say that millionaires and big business and wall street are all greedy but they are the reason jobs exist in this country. It's basic economics.

Tim, have you ever read the novel Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand? It's a good read, and reiterates in a mere 1,000+ pages what you just said here. (lol)

There's no misdirection, fact is these bonuses are outrageous but they are a small part of the issues facing america. It is only being focused on because this administration is trying to get people to focus on something other than them. I don't know how much these executives give up to make the big money but I am sure the price is more than I would be willing to pay. To make that kind of money you would most likely be company property 24/7.
