Well I'm not going to lie it was tuff going this morning on that powder snow. It was fustrating thats for sure but we still had fun and me and the dogs was up for the challenge. Some rabbits they dogs did a decent job running them but some they struggled. We had 5 dogs on the ground I'm thinking they scattered that powder snow all over covering the scent. I have no idea but the dogs lost several rabbits today. It wasn't till after 12:00 when things picked up they ran the rabbits much better but still several checks and it was hit and miss. They didn't have a problem jumping them I saw my lil daisy dog jump one right in front of me. She was working the brush and wagging her tail very fast went in and pow out goes the rabbit. They ran this rabbit all around the area every time I'd go over here the rabbit would go over there. Between me and brian we shot at him 6 times. It even crossed a creek that had flowing water both brian and I couldn't believe that nothing like that has happened to us this season rabbit crossing a creek. And Yep he got away. Dogs lost him once they went across he may have holed or dogs just plained lost it. We are not sure. None the less we still come on with 7 nice sized rabbits. All these rabbits are going to a very nice lady at my work. She is the human resource lady and every season I bring her in 6 rabbits or so. She asked me a couple weeks back hey joey when you bringing me by rabbits....lol So tomorrow morning fresh rabbit. And in return she'll most likely bring me in that yummy apple butter jam that she makes. I'm waiting for that.
saw lots of this fresh on the snow. Lots of tracks even saw a little yellow snow too.

We are going to have for the next few days temps in the mid 40's saturday and sunday = upper 30's bye bye snow. I can't wait I'm tired of the snow. Its going to be a muddy mess though but I don't care just as long as the snow goes away.
Just walking thru it gets me tired. It puts extra strain on your body and the dogs too.

Now joey I thought you were tougher than that. I guess it's all in what you're used to. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of bad that comes with the snow but there are some good things too.
