I can see from both sides of this although I am more of the mindset that it is part of hunting. My kids have seen the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to hunting.........everything from a clean kill on a bunny to a poorly placed shot on a deer that then needed to be quickly dispatched. I don't wanna hide anything from my kids but at the same time I don't want them to "have" to see all the really bad stuff just yet. We each have to decide what and when for ourselves and our kids so yes I can see posting a PG style heading on a thread.......common sense. But to just throw it out ain't right either which is what most people are saying. I look at it a lot like cursing, I obviously don't let my kids use that type of language, I refrain from using it in front of them, I don't go looking to expose them to movies and games with it, but I also don't hide them from it either. The reality is there are things in life that we can't always control so as much as I sometimes hate for them to have to see and/or hear certain things I can't always protect them..........nor do I completely want to. I do my best to explain what it is and why it is good/bad or right/wrong and hope they come away with some kind of understanding. We each have to decide where and when for our kids but IMO it's better to prepare them ahead of time rather than see the shock and awe of the after effects.

Looking back what do you all remember about hunting when you were growing up??? Did you see and experience it all or did your hunting mentors shield you from certain things until you got older???

Obviously this is JMO but it's how I see it.

Brian, I stand corrected. I was quoting a quote. But the rest of my post and the sentiment behind it, stands as is. ;)

all i can think of is the sanitized war photos an film clips of missiles hittin stuff, but they never show the reality of what going to ur maker looks like. personally death is a part of life an no matter how hard u try its not always pretty. i like the photos,it is nice to b warned in the title tho too,

You are correct warddog but sometimes I wonder where people's priorities are at. Does it really hurt anybody's faith that most of our children are no longer allowed to say the "Pledge of Allegiance" because it has a reference to "god" in it??? Probably not but based on what you believe and what you think giving up a little here and a little there will eventually add up to more than at least I am willing to give. I'll hear people scream about a picture of a dead rabbit on a tailgate or a video of a kill shot and at the same time there's an ad for Grand Theft Auto on the TV????? I understand what you meant with your statement and you are correct but there are a whole lot worse things in life that some pics posted on here...........a HUNTING site.

Use some common sense, give a warning in the title and let the rest go.

And yes I think Bev is on the money with her assessment and handling of the situation.
