Have hunted and ran with Osbournes Spade, Pine Mt. Chester. Spirit was mostly a brood bitch. Ran with Dandy Run North Star back years ago, mainly a brood but was a hard going hound.

Spade- Started by Wayne Waits and purchased by Willard Osbourne. Spade is one of the fastest hounds I have ran with. When Bobby got him from Willard he , Jimmy and I was hunting with him in Indiana Coal Country. Spade would jump a rabbit take it yonder and before the other dogs could get to him he was bringing it back from a different direction. He was unbelievable on a running rabbit. At the time I was getting back into dogs after a short highatus and was breaking young dogs. I told Bobby I just couldnt run with him anymore. Only time Ive ever said that about a hound.

Pine Mt. Chester- Unbelievable hard going hound. ONe of the rare hounds that could run top end and have the nose to hang on to it. One of MY ALL TIME FAVOORITE HOUNDS TO RUN WITH. He loved running as good as any dog Ive ever seen. He would grab a check and just roll and you would wait and wait and just like dang is he ever going to let up on it. He had total disregard for his well being. He would hit a briar patch head high wide open on a hot rabbit track and when he came through the other side he looked like he had been put through a food processor. True Story: I have had to hold Chesters head while Allen pushed on his eyeballs to get the thorns to pop out. Never seen a dog that would abuse his body like that dog. A great reproducer. Everything I have but one dog is based off of him. Chester blood will flow through my hounds as long as I own hounds.

Pine Mt. Spirit- Mostly a brood, but produced well. The Chester cross is the most well known but Im sure Pine Mt Beagles can elaborate more on other litters. She wasnt bred that much. She was out of a great cross. Some of her brothers were Pine Mt. Zeb- Went out to West (killed by coyotes at a young age) and Pine Mt. Pusher-died too early. Zeb and Pusher were hard going hard hunting powerful hounds.

Cedar Swamp Ripper- Pine Mt Beagles would have to describe running style. But whenever I saw him he was a walking, breathing SCAB as I was told he hunted like a demon.

Kingswood Trex- Wayne Gross could tell you about him. He was a great producer.

Pine Mt Beagles could elaborate more on BLue Banks Sweet Singer and Pine Mt Ring.

Hope this helps.

I hunted with singer for a couple yrs. he was a hard hitting hound with a big nose and a ton of desire.wish i had a
kennel full of singers.

Ring was just something you had to see. she was alot like the old star dog just high strung. mostly used as a
brood female.

hunted with ripper for a gun season he was your basic northway dog. a ton of hunt and ran a steady track.

chester is all will stated and then some.

Sprit and star were just brood females.both them dogs would pace in the lot till thier feet would bleed.
when rufus would let them in the running pen to blow off steam they were lite on thier feet.

hunted with rex once he was a rabbit dog....

ran with spade for a year all i can say was man he was fast. if the rabbit would run he could drive it..

Waiska River Maximum Effort was bred by Larry First and I believe Larry regarded him as his best snow hound ever. Max was over sized and up on legs with a beautiful athletic build. I never ran with Max but have ran with several sons and daughters and he produced above average dogs with regularity, but beyond that it came to be seen that there wasnt much produced. Max has been deceased for quite a few years now but I am sure Larry is still living, he was never a very personable fella in my opinion but if you plan on contacting him good luck.

Thanks for all the info I really appreciate it! The guy I bought her from said she was just out of some pleasure hounds and branko bred, I guess he wasn't familiar with bloodlines lol...this gyp is very fast and hits the brush hard. I'm really hoping she does well in the hunts. If anyone wanted to see her go to http://www.sheetskennel.webs.com her name is Envy.
