I live in east Tn. There is alkind of hunters around here that love to rabbit hunt. We are wanting to feild trial and stuff but there is not a club near that we now of. So I decided to try to start one. my question is to how what it would take. there is a kinds of places to run here where I live. any advice will be appreciated.
What registry AKC/UKC/ARHA? UKC clubs are fairly easy to start just contact Todd Morgan at UKC and ask for an information packet and he will get ya started! As far as AKC I am not sure just go to thier website and you should be able to locate some information there! I have found in my experiance that UKC is a much esier way to go with AKC you have to deal with territories and what type of clubs may already exsist in your area and so forth Here is the link to UKC

There are probably 4 Clubs within a couple hours drive That I know of. One in Harrogate Tenn, one in Loundon County, Tenn. One in Mars Hill , N. C. and one at Bens Nob , N.C. they are all NKC/ARHA clubs, The closest UKC Club would be in Bristol or Abdington Virginia. To Start a club you got to have, running grounds , a place to meet, Judges, Master of hounds, Enough members to run it. I wish you best of luck and if you start one I will try to come ocassionally but it is not an easy tack. I know people from all four of the clubs i've listed and you should feel free to visit them. We have a hunt at KTV in Harrogate May 8 th , come to it or Tommorrow at the youth hunt .
