NOW WHEN HE TUCKS THE HIDE FROM THE BACK INTO THE BELLY DOES HE MEAN ACTUALLY IN THE BELLY OR BETWEEN THE HIDE AND SKIN OF THE BELLY THATS THE ONLY PART I WAS UNSURE OF IF ANYONE KNOWS CAN YOU TELL ME I'D LIKE TO TRY THIS THANKS ERIC

you tuck the fur up under the other fur it serves as a knot so you can pull it down other wise your hand will just slide down,,,,,i have cleaned a bunch like this,it works gret if done right,,,

Yep ringtail is telling you right it works that way and good yo. we killed several already and thats the only way to clean them. I let my youngest boy do the 8 we took this morning and he is out again this eve with hounds running and just radio me that he got 4 more cleaned and ready for the frying pan to keep the grease hot. lol

Me and my oldest son just cleaned 5 like this, this evening and it took us less then 30 minutes and that included cutting back legs off, splitting them open and cleaning out anal tract and washing them up. Its great !!!!!!

works great I tucked the hide right inside the body cavity and did it works slick as a whistle
only way I will ever do it again also carry a pair of side cutters with you and you can cut the feet off I save the front shoulder also, come home run under water and done no hair no mess

I posted a vidio of me cleaning one towards the end of October during youth season. It is in two seprate vidio clips but you can see how it works just the same. I have cleaned over 40 or so rabbits like this and I tuck the hair into the belley cavity and it's worked great for me. It helps take off the belly meat and the ruff layer of skin on the back strap meat. It also seems to take off more of the ribs if not all of them. Good luck and let me know how it works for ya. been doing it for a long time. it beats carrying around all the excess weight. i save my bread wrappers to carry them in also. you can get 2 rabbits in each bag. saves a little money from not using up all your freezer bags out in the field.

I've done it that way before it works good. Do it right after a kill and make sure you give it a good twist.

I use this method all the time now and I love it. A word of advice, Your hands will stay clean if you tuck as much of the loose hide in the rabbits belly. This serves to not only give you leverage to pull on but the hide in the belly cavity keeps the guts and blood from spilling out the opening in the body cavity and on to your hands. Just tuck as much hide in the cavity as you can and grip the rabbit with a firm hand and twist 1/4 trun and pull....Hope that helps......DH
