A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
well guess since my name has been dropped a few times in this thread I'll have to put my 2cents in.
Don't matter we all like the same thing on this board and that's beagles. I'm I right.... or we'd not be on this forum every day looking at all the topics. Some guys use them to pleasure run some guys use them to trial and then there is me and I like to use them for rabbit hunting. And lets not forget the poeopl who use them for all that i've mentioned. Is their anything wrong with what I use mine for. I'd have to say NO!!! I only post my pics and videos cause I know some of you enjoy reading about my hunts and looking at the pics. I can chose to not post anything about my hunts from now on if thats what you guys want. I didn't think I was harming anything with sharing my hunts. Seems like every season someone has to drop my name about these very same topics. I will not stop hunting with my beagles I got them for this purpose and I'll use them for rabbit hunting PERIOD. If we all liked the same things and did the same things would that be fun....no.... everyone is different everyone likes different things and everyone has an opinion thats what makes the world go round. As far as I'm concerned I'll keep on posting up till gun-season is over and if you wish to see my threads then thanks for looking if not don't bother looking at them. I like to pleasure run from Feb16 to Sept 31st....
Glad I'm able to entertain you jimmy NOW BRING you KY butt up to MO and sling some lead one of these days and bring your posse with ya......

and I think all fieldking was trying to say was post up some rabbit hunting pics. Give him a break.....lets not run him off the board. He is a newer member and we don't have to fight over something like this. this board should be fun not bashing others or having what seems to be like arguments on how things should be.......you know what I mean.
Fieldking if you have some rabbit hunting pics post up son........I'd like to see them.

hey joeyman-- keep posting the pics! thats what i really enjoy. looks like you got some pretty tough gundogs. i got to get my butt moving after christmas so i have something new to post. its been one of my slower years shooting
In addition to my earlier post I want to say that I don't have a problem with people that kill their legal limits or how they do it. When we hunt we do it our way with no jump shooting or quick shooting. I know others around here that are hunting shoot any rabbit they see bedded or running. If that is what they like more power to them. I like Joeymans photos and hunting stories and probably get a visit from the green eyed monster while seeing a tailgate full of rabbits. We just don't have the game some of you guys have here in North Carolina. I have honestly killed more deer than rabbits this year.
I've killed one deer in 6 years........no joke. wish I could get more deer
and most the rabbit hunts we are on are 2 man hunting team or sometimes 3 fo us. we hunt from sun up till we get our limits which is normally bout 2pm so thats a good number of hours on the ground. we work at it. its not easy and its not hard. its work. pushing dogs here and there and working different areas and standing in the right spot for a shot.

joey i think the pictures are great and so are mobeagles, thats probly why you guys got some good hounds, every time you shoot one thats like a reward for the dogs, and that is what rabbit hunting is all about. keep 'em running.

YES THERE ARE MANY FOR OUR HUNTING RIGHTS BUT THERE ARE VERY FEW HELPING TO FIGHT TO KEEP THOSE RIGHTS THERE WAS NATION WIDE SAMPLE BALLOT WENT ON DOCKET ABOUT A YEAR AGO THRU I.R.A. THERE WAS NOWHERE NEAR THAT MANY THAT JOINED AFTER CHECKING THE STAISTICS WE WOULD HAVE LOST THEY SAID IT WAS DO TO THE FACT PEOPLE WAS JUST CONVIENCED ITS NOT GOIN TO HAPPEN BUT IT CAME OUT OF OUR PRESIDENTS MOUTH MARCH 0F THIS YEAR; IM NOT THE ONLY ONE KEEPING UP WITH THE I.R.A AND WHATS GOING ON IN THE WHITEHOUSE WITH WHATS TRYING TO BE DONE
What are the dark brown/red dogs with the curl in their tail? Look like old July's or Triggs. What kind of mouths do they have?
We need those dogs here. Where are you?
I imagine you and your coyote dogs would be welcomed on anyones farm or chicken, cow, any livestock that has a problem with coyotes. The increase of the rabbit population due to your ridding an area of coyotes would be a bonus for all of us. Sure would increase your hunting areas by doing a favor from farmers. No need for a jackass in every pasture that will kill our beagles as well as coyotes.
Good hunting and success!
I'm assuming you meant me instead of Field King but yeah in the pics with a large pack of dogs many of those are July-Walker crosses. The julys arent mine I have dogs in every picture but not all of them are mine. The pics with 4 or less dogs are all my dogs but the large groups are several different guys I hunt withs hounds. I have 6 coyote hounds and yes the farmers give us permission to go in about anywhere we want. I'm in north central mo and the yote population here is very high.
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.
