Joey,
I'm so sorry to hear of Pistol passing on. In our short conversations it was obvious that you loved that dog and the not being able to help him was tearing you up. You now have that big, burley, blocky headed, houndy looking pup with the BIG mouth to match. I do also believe that things happen for a reason and for some reason it was embedded in my mind to do what needed to be done to help get that pup to you. Think about my wife who doesn't mess with my dogs carrying that pup to you with it bawling in the front seat in a box of her SUV for 4 solid hours. I believe THAT pup was meant to be yours and he is.

Joey, I too am sorry for your loss. I lost me best female 5 years ago now, and I still can not bring myself to watch her on videos. I sometimes even dream about her, and I know she is up there chopin away at a snowshoe or cottontail, and I guess she can run with Pistol now too. She was the best I have had, and could get it done anytime ,any place, no excuses 110% all the time, and was my first to load everytime. I too believe evrything happens for a reason, sometimes you can see the results quuickly, other times only time will tell. Either way, good luck with that pup, and keep that fire burning, it is what we do, and makes us appreciate those special times we have.
