I have had the same pair of Wicks for ten years. I,personally, like them cause they are light weight enough to wear any time of year. I don't think you can go wrong with them.
Zippers have held up great and I used to coon hunt in them as well. When cleaned up they look just like the day I bought them. JMO. Hope this helps.

I don't own a pair of wicks but the filsons are great. I do think that you should be aware that they are hot and heavy. I love mine but only wear them when it is wet or cold.
Re: hunting chaps (wicks vs filson)
I own a pair of Filsons that have been ok. The only suggestion that I have is spent the extra little money and get the ones with zippers or else they don't come off when they get wet, but they are perfect for briar protection. Also, I don't care for the button style loops that hold them on, so if the Wick style has zippers and the buckle loops I'd go with them, especially of you are a judge and run hard in them. I love my Filsons but the next pair will be something different, WITH NO BUTTONS!!!!!

Have you looked at Dan's? I have a pair that have held up really well.
Re: hunting chaps (wicks vs filson)
Wicks have a heavy duty zipper to near the top. they are light enough at all times. I have worn shorts under mine in real hot weather. i think you will be satisfied
with them. I know I have been. The clip at the top is a snap style, not a button, they stay hooked and hold up even if you are runnin in them.

I would have a look at MULES chaps. TallPaul has a set and they seem very nice. Good and heavy duty but yet the backs are a mesh material for warmer weather running.

The Mules are nice and not heavy at all and they seem to last.

How do you get in touch with Stone Creek to order their Wick clone gear. I need a Wick coat. Thanks!

Thanks! I don't have one of Wick's coats for comparison but I'm anxious to see how it turns out.TurnLeftBeagles wrote:(814) 627-2316
