Stay away from high energy. It has a high salt content in it. Maintanence is a good food. If you want "high energy" type of food try the performance. It is decent.

I don't like there maintenence feed. Stool is runny and coats aren't the best. I fed Hi-Energy for a while didn't really have much problems with it. I am currently feeding chicken and rice and love it. Stool is perfect, dogs have the best of energy, and there coats look great. Little bit more expensive, but well worth it if you ask me.

I feed the Diamond Naturals- not sure what it tastes like, but my dogs like it. Lots of energy & their coat is slick & shiney.

Yes that is what I was saying, kidding of course. Althought one of my dogs must think it tastes ok!! In all seriousness I do feed diamond natural chicken and rice. I switched from Purina Pro Plan Adult for no other reason than the price went up slightly and the bag poundage went down. I like when the main ingredient of a dog food is meat (chicken in this case) rather than corn or just saying "meat" of meat meal of any kind, it just seems more pure. So far I have no comlpaints at all and pay around $28 for a 40lb bag at a local feed store. I have noticed that the stool is small and firm just like purina except if you overfeed like I'm doing to my nursing female. Good luck!!

What feeds were included in the list that killed so many
dogs a while back ??? I don't know what they were but I'd
stay shy of them .

Fed Diamond for years, Naturals the last couple its good feed. I am now feeding Black Gold and glad I switched. Dogs are running better, stools are better and the company and price is much better. If you are sold on Diamond go with the Naturals, stay away from the rest. JMO

I have fed diamond, green bag 26/18, for the last 15 years and my dogs do very good on it. All have shiny coats and have hard stools. I love Black Gold feed too, but too far from me.
