Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
Does anyone have a pic of their beagle wearing both the dc30 and the shock collar? I'm just curious as to how akward it looks and is to the dog.

Dont have a pic but I have a 12 1/2 inch bitch that does fine. The EXP receiver goes in the front and DC30 behind it.

Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
I am wanting to put both shocker and garmin unit on one dayglo collar like i had my old tracking unit .Would it hurt to put the shocker between the dc30 and gps antenna and run the wire over the shocker .Or move the two garmin peices closer together to get eneough room on the collar for a shocker. There are some good ideas in this post so keep it up.Thanks David

Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
Wow!
That stinks, you must absolutely use a spacer between the antenna and the dc30 ! I bet thats gonna cost you a few pennies. Let us know how much.
Something new im'e gonna try, I just ordered 29" collars with no holes or name plates attatched, I will cut the buckle off then reinstall the buckle but only fold the strap over far enough so that the spacer and collar strap are all one peice.
Collars probably wont be here until the end of the week but I will post some pics then.

Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
had to buy new strap with gps antena $59 a piece
i diddnt have any problems with the dc30 part becaused i used small washers. the gps antena itself busted the plastic thread holes completely off. i did another one and doubled up on the dayglo material is that the correct way or not?

Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
I modified my dc 30 collars by turning the GPS antenna around and using a hole punch to add a new hole to screw the antenna back to the collar. Since there is a wire, you have to be careful not to harm the wire. We used a small piece of hanger to insert thru the collar to protect the wire and then punch the hole It is not hard to do. Garmin stated that they would cover the warrant if you just turn the antenna around and if you do not harm the wire. we did three without much problem. we then add new holes to the collar. I have a very small female. the revised collars are tight enough for her.

good luck.

I don't have a pic either but I use a Tritronics collar, DC30 and a Tracker Supra Lite on mine because I haven't got a ton of confidence in the Garmin yet and it doesn't bother my dogs any.Buckeye Blues wrote:Does anyone have a pic of their beagle wearing both the dc30 and the shock collar? Not with my dogs, I run 3 separate collars when they are down. Mine are solid 15" femalesPaul Curtis wrote:Is there enough room on the collar for a G-2 shocker, 14-15 inch hounds?
Re: DC30s' on Dayglow
I'm getting ready to modify three dc 30 collars wonding how big a collar you guys are using. I run 13 hounds and normally buy a 18 inch collar. I was thinging about buying collars large enough to cut and use as spacers as some of you guys have done. Thought about running one spacer from top to bottom and using this method to cover the wire that runs between. Do you think buying three 29 inch collars makes sence and then cutting down to the size i need. That way I can punch new buckle holes and keep the spacer the same color as the rest of the collar and not buy extra collars just for spacing.
