Underground Fences

Post by MasonsBeagles »

Any reviews. I have a Wheatland Terrior and wanting to do something.. He needs to be able to run. I was thinking about a underground fence or one of the plug in transmittors. Anyone have any experience with these?

I have the wireless Petsafe system and love it :D (for three beagles) You just have to watch for bitches coming into heat and kennel them in time so you don't end up with boxer-beagles

Here is a thread about invisible fences

I still like the under ground fence since I last posted on them 6 months ago. They are a great option for a fraction of the money as an above ground. I have over 500' of wire run. I have not had any problems yet but one thing about them is they will keep your dog in but you can't keep other things out. You need to weigh the advantages on both.

I would give the fellow at INDIANA HIDDEN FENCE a call 812-372-4449....I ran one years ago got material at HOME DEPOT but i had some problems and this guy helped me out. He was good to work with. By the way this was not for my beagles lol.

Purchased one of the Pet Safe Wireless fences and was pleasantly surprised with the coverage area. The boxers were trained in just a few days and they currently respect the boundry enough that we rarely even put the collars on them anymore and if we do put them on then they are usually just turned to the tone mode in case one would get caught outside the area while we are at work.
