I knew this was gonna get ugly. You guys can say "oh, it was all just in fun", but I bet you meant it more than you are letting on. Do you really think we go out and run our dogs an hour and then load them up. Get real. So your a good photographer and video man, that doesnt make you the big dik of Missouri. BY the way, ran for almost 4 hours this morning. Would have ran 5, but only took 4 dogs.

Dont worry todd , no big deal it is all in fun.Joey has been pretty quite for the last few years and now he is throwing the flag up for us. I am 47 now and i dont do anything as hard as i used too. But understand and know there is several dogs out of kentucky blood that are pretty respectable. ......... Field trialing in the lp world has little to no desire for me anymore.I believe i have made my mark with more than 1 dog at the world hunt. The valley reaks with the wall of fame and ribbons and accomplishments. I love to run dogs and that i will ......The midwest have proved to me it is set up for those dogs that can not shine in a hour.My dogs seem to do ok as my this year 15" bitch is a few points away from field champion, by the way joey how many field champions are you feeding? I aint trying to down gun dogs cuz thats what i feed it just so happens that there are a few fc and hall of famers and grch world hunt winners in the mix.I would love to come and hunt with the mo mafia as yellar is pretty much a ky hillbilly in his own right, oh yea did i tell you where ringo come from joey? Kentucky about a mile from my house. So you bred to him because he was a good dog and not because he was a accomplished field trial dog?
Ky may not be the strongest mafia to date but it would appear to me several people are wanting our blood at this time out west ,Gundogs and winners are spoke in the same sentence at my house. alright boy this has got got blown wayyy out of context i believe...lol..i think it started as funnin and now every body is swing their bats around..a god dog is a good dog wether it trials or guns dont make me no difference..1 hr trial 8 hour trial i have ran them both and won them both..so what?..i like trials cuz i get to hang out with my buddies from across the contry and definetly enjoy visitin and drinkin beer with my ky buddies you guys are ok in my book nd my door is always open to ya..joey was kinda stirrin the pot just for fun here i believe and it taken out of text i will say tho that kid does run his hounds alot and they are in good shape..as far as my potlickers being a measuring stick ..nope..i just got a few potlickers that have happened to have a lil luck at the trials and hell even when i did win there was always a few that complained i got judged through..so there ya go every body hates a winner..i will say this i got some nice hounds from ky some of my best no doubt..i have also raised a few right here that can actually run a rabbit..no doubt in my mind ky is rabbit hound powerhouse you guys have my respect ..i am missouri boy born and raised and ill run with any of ya..and ill also say this i dont care what state you live including my home state if you come run with my pocket beagles as they have been called..if yours aint ran up or up to par my lil dogs wil flat out drag yours around all day and you will go home gutted..cuz i run alot i cant afford to do anything else at this point so i gut my houds regurlarly and not 1 hour but 5 to 8..and i do it regularly...as far as my trialin days they are over for the mean time cuz im poor and tryin to raise a 5 kid family..i would however like to see if i could finish ol ring to fc in midwest i think i can but i may be wrong ..but i owe it to that hound to try..have fun boys dont take everything so serious and have a good trial season if ya get out my way stop in drink a beer or 2 with me and ill put you on some rabbits to run ...jimbo good luck finishin your bitch and i have a line bred chester pup here i would like for you to see run he will remind you alot of a hound you been feedin a long time..and my next cross will be chester and ringo...should hit a lick..see ya

Hey guys I was just away from a computer for a bit I'm back now and have read thru some of the replies. I don't mean any harm I'm just getting things a little stirred up for fun bring some life to the board. As you can tell its almost rabbit season....lol Can't wait and I enjoy this board. All you Ky boys are fine in my book. If any of you come up I'd like to meet ya and put on a gun hunt I may take you to one of my honey holes for a gun hunt. Blair when you come on up I'll come find ya. I don't live to far away from where you'll be.

Whats right is right and since stavemill beagles took the liberty to bash on me a bit well all i can do is bash in return.

Yes I was at a trail with chris wells and family thought they were a nice bunch and it was cool to see his entire family out there with him enjoying the cold morning. That day there were 3 of your dogs in the same cast. An elderly gentelmen with an older dog maybe 10yrs old and Me with my male Pistol. Went to the field and turned loose. Now I don't field trial often maybe once a season if I'm lucky. So my dogs arn't use to being around others or the trial scene but I go anyway like yellowdog puts it, its fun to be out there with your friends. My friend mike wanted me to go with him so I went. Anyway back to topic. 3 of your dogs were in the same cast. 2 of your dogs were put on a LEASH!!!!!! for cold trialing not 1 but 2 that means they had to minus 3 times in order to be put on a leash. And your third dog was close to being put on a leash aswell. Every time your dogs barked my Pistol Male come in and checked them out didn't bark. Stayed in the area checked on them and came back to me and hung around. Even the judge comment on this I will not name him but he is a board member here. Yeah you are right he did hang around me for the most part. But your dogs cold trialed the morning away and 2 of them were put on a leash. NO RABBIT WAS PRODUCED ENTIRE 1HR duration. Yeah I'll give you they were hitting the brush searching and all that. I saw that and I liked that but you can keep the cold trailing down in your part of MO. I thought you were a good guy and had a great family but I see how you are now. Oh and I heard that your dogs run deer. Lost one to at desoto. Did you ever find it?

And you ask why I don't breed any of mine and keep one. NEWS FLASH GO TO MY SITE I did and I have one out of my own stock. And you also asked why did I get a pup out of Ringo. I was not looking at his trial history. I watched him run. I don't go off paper and titles. If I like what I see then I know right then and there.

joey i had 3 dogs in one cast because there wasnt enough judges so my dogs had be put together so i could judge a different cast or there wouldn't have even been a hunt and yes i did lose a dog at desoto but she wasn't running the deer she got left behind while everyone was trying to catch the dogs that were running the deer and yes i did get her back thanks for asking. my dogs were put on a leash but they were put there because they were hunting and trying to get a rabbit up on a tough morning and not for standing at my feet and doing nothing to help get a rabbit up. sorry if you have been offended but this a post you started and you are welcome to come run with my 1 hour dogs anytime.

Its all good guys. I aint trying to fight with anyone. We are beaglers and should all stick together. I was just trying to have a lil fun.


I was going to start a new thread on this weekends running but I figured since everyone else was a pounding this weekend and forgot their cameras home again I'd post what my dogs looked like after 5hrs of pounding Monday morning. We ran dogs hard saturday after the rain stopped. Sunday for roughly 4hrs or so and we finished up monday morning running for 5hrs non stop rabbit after rabbit. Monday by far was the best running. Had all the dogs out and they straight pounded them. Their was a heavy fog at the CA grounds visibility was maybe 100yds to 150yrds couldn't hardly make out the trees. And the running was excellent haven't seen them run em like that in awhile. We had to pull the dogs off the last rabbit cause we had to go home or i'd let them keep going.

Anywho this is how we roll in Missouri. And stavemill i"m up for the Challenge anytime......

sorry their jimbo to burst your bubble but ringo was purchased from kentucky yeah you are right but the guy bought the dog out of canada and it is NOT a kentucky bred dog. canadian bred hare hound and so are the many dogs in its ped. And YES I bred to him and got a pup out of him cause I liked what I saw. The titles and what not don't mean a thing to me. I watch the dog run before anything. I saw ringo run when he was just 2yrs old. good day

not sure how my hound got throwed in this battle ?..heck he aint even worth talkin bout just an ol missouri cull now..lol..but the truth about how he is bred and where he came from is this and not that it matters..but here is the history on my hound that is causin confusion ..ringo was bred at krpans kennel to nlpc harecharmer ringo and ringo is from newfoundland canada as most of the top side of his pedigree is from..bottom side all branko..i bought him as a young dog from a fella that lives right down the road from my ol buddy jimbo cuz he was too fast for that guy and he had an ugly tail...lol..so i guess he is kinda a canatucky dog..?...lol...but again my dog aint worth fussin over anyway ...just an old biscuit eater that i have prolly ruined since i took him out of kentucky...lol..jimbo your still my ol buddy joey your a buddy hell..i like everybody even if some dont like me ..i even like a few guys from ohio and michigan..now yall behave and lets runnem till their tails fall off
