Several years ago a ranking member and myself formed a alliance with the ohio mafia in a undisclosed bar after several shots of red bull and vodka. The higher ranking ohio mafia member broke onto a stage and sang ol red with mike in hand, we discussed it and voted ,at that moment it was done. Ky has and always will produce the type of hounds others dread to see. Our creeds are secert but our motto is "You may beat us , but you will know we been there" and so it goes. The season to hit the road is upon us so get ready we lurk in the shadows .Whos side are you on?

The Ohio Mafia is another animal in its own. It was also founded in the late 20th Century and built on the belief that anyone with a southern draw doesn’t know a beagle from a goat. After a while, smaller charter groups started seeing that they did not approve of this thinking or behavior. An uprising took place in the late 1990’s that changed the face of beagling. New leaders emerged and alliances were formed with neighboring state mafia groups. All agreed that lines will no longer be drawn. Small numbers of rogue beaglers from both sides still fail to comply and continue to inject the “old way of thinking” into these groups. Over the years these individual seem to disappear never to be heard from again.
The bar where these alliances were formed will never be disclosed and no names will ever be released to protect the integrity of those involved. It is said that the higher ranking official did break into song as a peace offering, singing the Kentucky National Anthem (Ol Red). Rumor has it that these grown men we so moved by this offering, that tears rolled down their face. They tried to cover it up with laughter but the truth is now told. It was also said that a high ranking Arkansas Official was also present and tried to form some alliances of his own. These rumors were later refuted by the higher ranking Ohio official’s wife.
The ky Hillbillys have always spoke with a southern twang, also we say son alot. As addressed we often wondered if arkansas leader was involed in as the ky boys call clucked. After our meeting all believes were reported as false and peace was retained. Arkansas has represented our hounds over the years, with moderate luck. Ohio hates to admit it but the world title is kentuckys to take. Little pack was formed in the 80s. Since its inception the bluegrass has eiether won or placed in every world hunt, if my mind serves me correctly. Ohio has come up since the 90s. But the bluegrass has probaly still been the overall victor. It would be very interesting to know the numbers. Eiether way competion is fun and the bar we have spoke of was one of the best meeting of minds ever in nkc records.Hard to believe that so many drunks from so many states were there and no one was shot or cut. When the smoke cleared once again ky came home with the gold. ........Good luck to all competitors this will be another season of thrills and spills.

I gotta say this.. WV has only had 1 world hunt winner and the dog (Rocky Hill's Droopy Ears) was KY bred and Raised. I got to thinking about this post and everyone bragging about what their state has done in the beagle world and remembered something I read in WV History. Back in the 1800's surveyors was laying out the border of WV and Kentucky and they were told to follow the Big River down around Louisa, KY. The Tug Fork was running high that year and the surveyors followed the Tug Fork instead of the Levisa Fk. Which was a surveying mistake. WV should have included a lot of Eastern KY. I was runnin dogs and figguring if this were the case southern WV could have claimed 3 or 4 World hunt winners. WV could have had some pretty good hounds. I thought about this for a while and Thank God I came to my senses and realized we would also have to claim everything else in Eastern Ky and now I'm happy again that we only have 1 World hunt winner.

She's already in,the offspring of a working member is automaticlly in.Like i told ya before she'll be taken care of,just make sure she has our contact numbers.I might start killin more rabbits since she don't care to skin them if she wants to tag along on a few hunting trips, what you have to do is plan your visits to pike county during hunting or trialing season.
