Wanted Rabbits for running pen

Hi any one;
What are the best rabbits to put in a running pen,and does any one where you can get some? Thanks for reading,Keven

i have heard good things about san juans for starting pups but i think that nothing can beat wild rabbits

Get a "Have a Heart" live rabbit trap or two and get wild rabbits for stocking a pen. Give them at least two days in the pen before letting dogs run them so they can learn the pen and its limitations, otherwise you'll be looking again to stock your pen. Another thing I learned is not to have too many rabbits in your pen due to too much scent crossing each other and your dogs will start backtracking and rerunning older tracks and show signs of being mouthy and picking up bad habits.

Do a search on here. There's lots of good info about trapping wild rabbits.
The others can help get a young dog started, but nothing replaces a wild rabbit.
