What to do with over 15 inches

About right mjd. Have had a little trouble with feeding them the high powered puppy food making them grow to fast.

I to believe that what you feed them and how you feed them as pups can have something to do with the way they grow. I learned this through experience.

i dont have aproblem with the over 15 dogs except they just aint my likeing .. i would just sell them i try not to keep nio more than i have to so anything over 15 makes my decisions easier since i do trial some . i like more of a 14 inch hound ..up north they need a bigger dog because of the snow so anythingnover 15 can go be a yankee dog lol.

I agree with just hunting the oversized dogs. My best dog is a little over 15" and I am keeping him ,he too good not to keep. I have several others to trial with. Sadly, they are not as good as him. It is nice having a great L&W male to rabbit hunt with..A friend of mine ,I will not call any names , told me to carry him in my arms to be measured and drop him at the stand and he was sure he would go under 15".He said he has seen people do that. Well they can, I won't. He's a gun dog and I am satisfied with that..I love rabbit hunting for the sake of hearing and seeing good dogs perform.

Don't breed him to a leggy female,nice sturdy 13" still will probably have trouble keeping all the males under 15"

3 cups ground doggy
10 Hungarian hot peppers (remove seeds and membranes)
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese

Mix all ingredients and stuff peppers

Place puppy peppers in 9X9 baking sheet

Bake @ 350 Degrees for 35 minutes, place grated mozzarella cheese on top with 5 minutes remaining

Remove and let stand to cool, then serve doggy delight and enjoy!!!!!!

they dont mess with them in WV once they get between 15 and 16 inches down there they have to much trouble telling the difference between their dogs and their deer just couldnt resist , i would give up running dogs if i have to trial them

We ran this evening. 10 month old gyp ran her first track which was a 100 pound rabbit. This male came to me and sit down. Id say he is broke.

Dave thats great , i say if hes a good one , enjoy him ,to heck with the trials , if he was under 15 , someone would find something else wrong with him , you know what i mean !
