Questioned for you trialers

Post by CPC »

If a open hound places in the top 5 at the world, does this qualify it for the next world hunt? Just wondering.

No, it has to be from world hunt to world hunt. So I would assume it means after the world. I have seen dogs do good at the world (top 5) and still be an open but have to qualify again for the next world hunt and the top 5 finish to qualify makes them a champion due to already having their first place.

I assume this too. But I was asked the question and could not be concrete on the answer, so I was looking for a ruling. thx Craig for your concrete answer of no.

i think craig is right, but i have heard the opposite too, best thing to do is call joyce at arha and get it straight from her,but i believe craig is correct,i dont agree with it,placing top 5 at the world hunt is big, very big,it should override any club hunt, but we dont make the rules, and knowing arha, they like them entry fees

I am fairly sure that if your dog places top five in the open class at the world, that it is qualified for the next world hunt without having another top five. Im not 100% on this. Like someone allready said the best thing to do is to call and ask joyce.

To qualify for the World Hunt Little Pack Open Class Competition, a hound must have placed 1st thru 5th place in at least one (1) ARHA licensed hunt within the time frame of after the previous World Hunt to the present World Hunt , and must show proof of the same at the time of entering the hound.
