New Babies!

Post by Bev »

I am pleased to announce that we have 5 beautiful pups that were born this morning. There are 4 little girls and one little boy. Mama is Hammer-line's Cajun Queen and Dad is FC Cajunland Driver. This was Queenie's first litter and she sailed thru! Thank you to Rick Persing for the opportunity to own Queenie. She's a fine hound and a great mother!

Sounds like a great litter. Sounds like that cross should come from my neck of the woods, with the Cajun names on the parents - LOL. You gotta make sure you put a good Cajun name on the pups: how about Boudreaux for the male? Kinda catchy, huh? Good luck.

Thanks, guys! Darrin, I know David Riley has seen this bloodline run and you may have too. Both Mama and Papa are Pon Run Toby bred and these pups are Blackcreek top to bottom back in the generations. I bought her bred, so I'm anxious to see hoe she does come the end of January. I think she's going to be an excellent hound to run with Maxx. Hoping so, anyway.

WoooooHoooo, she's protective! She's done eat Sidney, my housedog slick up about 4 times already today. Got poor Syd a nervous wreck, lol! Had to put a barracade in front of the half bath she's in just so she won't see Sydney walk thru the house!

Bev.

You may want to go a step farther by removing anything that may cause the bitch to become upset. We've seen mothers do nasty things to pups if they become upset or feel threatened, on purpose or not. This being her first, is a big pontential, let alone a new move. Just erroring on the side of caution...Patch ;)

Good thought Patch. I think Miss Sydney will be in the attached garage when Queenie comes out of the whelping area for a breather. She's not a bit nervous about me being around the pups, she practically had each one in my lap, but she doesn't want another canine around for 100 yds!

Kip, I believe you are right - this bloodline is fairly heavy in your area. Boudreaux, huh? Do I call him Boo for short? ;)

Of the five pups, 2 are red-Light choc?/white, one of them is so light she's almost a light mocha, silvery sort of. The other a bit deeper. Anyone know if that's common in the Blackcreek line of hounds? Mom and dad are both tri's.

Well, I was bored today... I went to the end of the board (486 pages if memory serves me correctly) and I just wanted to bring something up from the past. LOL

So Bev, it has been 5 1/2 years more or less. Did you keep any of these and do you know how they are doing?

Emery, I kept Queenie and one male pup for a while, but they were so different in type than what the ex liked. I was busy with the mag and wasn't really in a position to dictate which dogs got run, so...they sat in the kennel while the rockets got to run.

I eventually sold them to others. They were a gorgeous bunch, though. Here's a couple of pics of the 2 I kept the longest:
