I got new kennel flooring

Post by nb11 »

I'm building a new above ground kennel. I got this stuff for flooring:

The holes are just a schmidge over 1 inch. I have a kennel with this kenneltuff flooring from this company:

I love the kenneltuff. the stuff from a-v is nearly identical, but cheaper. a-v sent samples of both sizes. the holes are the same size on both panel sizes, however the 18x36 panels a just a bit sturdier. the ribs on the underside of the panels are a bit heavier on the smaller panel, which doesn't quite make sense to me. I would have thought that the bigger panel would span on 24" centers and require heavier ribs than the smaller panels that have 18" centers.
$10/2x4' panel. Kenneltuff was in the $12-15 range when I built my other kennel 6 or 8 years ago. I don't remember exactly. too long ago.
wider surface area than wire for pads to walk on. doesn't absorb urine like wood. has virtually no flex. will outlive me.
I'll let ya know how I like it once the kennel is done. I aint much for taking pictures, so you may only get a "completed" picture rather than a bunch of "as I go" photos.
