Trent, You seem to be a bit proud of the young'un! And rightfully so, good job! We're proud of you too. I just got home from my son's 9-12 yr old game, Luke went 2-3 with a double and a triple. I'm bustin' with pride over just that, and it doesn't compare to this, your young'un is nationwide. Great! I bet he's fond of the hounds, too. With his coordination, I bet he's a crack shot. Congratulations from the Ramey house.

Thanks guys, I am very proud of him, he has been playing in college prospect tournaments and last weekend I could not afford to go with him to Little Rock so I had to send him without me, I am going to type the text message he sent me the first night he was down there, This is the text he sent me right before he went to bed. ( Night, I love you, I look up to you and your the best dad a kid could ask for ) You talk about bringing a tear to your eyes, that one really got to me.
I think the kid has got a chance at the next level and I am going to give it all I got to get him there, I love that boy more than anything in the world. If he makes the next cut in Florida he will be going to Japan to play for a week.
I will try to keep everyone posted on his progress, I know this is not about beagles, but it is about a dad that is proud of his son.

Congrats Swing!! I am a big baseball fan and to see someone make it so big in the sport, I am just tickled pink. Some people say baseball is the easiest sport around, this is the same people who hasn't swung at a 102 mph fast ball.

Baseball is still a great sport in my eyes and will always be the one sport that I'll watch til the day I die. Congrats again to your son!!

Trent, this thread is related to beagles, it's all about beagles. You have been involved with your son, keeping him in the field and on the field and now you are reaping the harvest of spending all that time with him. This is a message to all the dads out there. Don't leave your young'uns at the house too many times. You AND them are missing out on the best years of your lives. Take your kids hunting and you will never have to go hunting for your kids. Notice that I didn't say "boys" because my 7 yr old daughter was out with me and my hounds just a couple of Saturdays ago. By the way, I am her softball coach, too.

Trent...
Congrats to you and your son. What a huge accomplishment for him, and all of the years of support and encouragement from a fine father will not go unrewarded. One day we all will be watching him in the College World Series and perhaps the bigs and be proud to have known where he came from.
Japan!!! who would have thought 15 years ago when you bought that first glove (which was more cute on him than useful) and took him to the first t-ball
registration... one day you would be telling all of us that his love for the sport would be taking him to places most of us could only dream of visiting.
WOW!!! we are all proud for you...
