Thanks Amanda. I named her Miracle because she was the first pup born, and the mother had them a week early. She was laying out on the grating of the whelping kennel still in the sack when I went down to water and feed that day. The mother had another pup wedged sideways in her, and I tried to revive the pup that was on the grating. She was cold as ice, and I couldn't get her to breath. I wrapped her in a plastic grocery bag and set her in a plastic garbage can and rushed the mother to the vet. The vet got the second pup out and I took her home to have the rest of the litter up in the house where I could keep a better eye on her. About four hours later, after the other pups were born, I went down to finish watering and feeding the other dogs and heard a yelping coming from inside the trash can! The can was in the sun and must have acted like an incubator, but I do believe there may have been a little "divine intervention" that helped save her to, maybe even a "Miracle" I knew right then and there that I was going to keep her, and I'm sure glad I did!
