Re: NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Farwest said hookworms, sounds like it to me. Drontal Plus is the only wormer that I have found that works fast enough to save pups' lives. the tablets are divided acoording to body weight. I hope that is all it is, and not something more drastic. Good luck with them.

Re: NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 2 that are left are doing OK for now. I will be going to the vet this afternoon. I did change her back to her original dog food last night. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, may never know.
Re: NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back from the Vet.
No worms.
No coccidia.
She has a bacterial infection that transfered to the pups.
Put her on Centrine to help stop the diahrea.
Put her on Amoxicillin to kill the bacteria
Put her on Bene-bac which is sopposed to be a "good" bacteria.
Vet said that the Amoxicillin should get into her milk in 2 to 3 hours, thus treating the 2 remaining pups.
I have my fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all of the advice!
On a side note, when I told her the brand of dog food I was feeding, she told me to stop feeding it immediately due to the fact that in the last 2 weeks she had had 3 hounds die from what she thinks is bad feed. She said that she had samples of the food sent of to be tested. I will not post the brand name yet, but I know a lot of people on here feed it. I will send you a PM if you want to know the brand.
Thanks again to all!!!

Glad your getting her sit right, amoxi is good stuff. I'd give the pups a little also ...S.R.Patch wrote:I'd use amoxi on the bitch and pups. Feed the pups by hand, esbilac or goat milk. You got a two fold problem then, keeping up with the pups and keeping the bitches milk from going hard. I like valbazen for gut problems. Microbes like guardia.
