I would say that Colin Powell would far be the better choice, he would probably pull some democrats, only thing is he doesn't go along with some of the manure spreaders out there. when it comes to picking loosers, they are a winner every time....boom boom has his aim pointing at Rush, lets hope their not friends....we know how that goes....
Re: G O P HAS NEW LEADER

Re: G O P HAS NEW LEADER
Tommy glad you foound that funny, but Colin Powell would probably have been a shur=in, most people admire his wisdom, and honesty, but Rush, I doubt if the relegious right would back a pill popping drug dealer....

Re: G O P HAS NEW LEADER
I hope you are talking about the position of President, you would think, if you would want to win an election, you could pick better choices, and steer away from the ratchet jaws type,,,a man who would state that he would want Obama to fail, couldn't be patriotic////get over the lost election and move forward.....2500 HD wrote:Rush won't take the position. I hope Obamas policys fail my self. I don't want to be socialist. Moveing on maybe easier said than done real soon, cap and trade will put this nation under along with Obamas spending spree. By the way I belive hopeing he suceeds is unpatriotic.

Tommy according to the news the stimulus spending has been exceedingly slow, so slow that many have wondered when will we be able to get the money to do anything about roads or any infrstructure, where I live, I seen better roads in viet nam...our state needs the money badly....do you feel we don't need to develop alternative energy? or not work on our people some medical help? or putting people back to work in substance work....or a living wage and benefits...I remember as a young man I could go anywhere and find work with health benefits, those days are long gone...and we need them back....

If you remember the few of us that were paying attention to real issues with the stimulus scam, we pointed out that infrastructure projects would take 2- 3 years before it would even be possible to start much of anything. Plans, permits, red tape, beaurcracy, take time to start any project, and when the government is involved it will take twice as long and cost 3 times as what it should.beaglechase wrote:Tommy according to the news the stimulus spending has been exceedingly slow, so slow that many have wondered when will we be able to get the money to do anything about roads or any infrstructure, where I live, I seen better roads in viet nam...our state needs the money badly....do you feel we don't need to develop alternative energy? or not work on our people some medical help? or putting people back to work in substance work....or a living wage and benefits...I remember as a young man I could go anywhere and find work with health benefits, those days are long gone...and we need them back....
Those good ole days will never exsist again with socialism on the horizon!!!!!!!!
Rufus have a glass of tea on me!!!!!! Mark my words the Tea Party people of this nation will make a difference in 2010 at the polls. You think you got change in 2008. In 2010 the whole dang congress should get replaced and start over. You are so blind and narrow minded I actually feel sorry for you. Let's take up a collection and get Rufus a white cane to tap his way through the political promise (CRAP)!!!!!!

I believe your right on the infrastructure part, since that is the way, it has always been. but I don't think right now many people would want to go back to more of the same, since the republicans have set on their hands,,,,,2500 HD wrote:If you remember the few of us that were paying attention to real issues with the stimulus scam, we pointed out that infrastructure projects would take 2- 3 years before it would even be possible to start much of anything. Re: G O P HAS NEW LEADER
Times are rougher now than 2 years, 3 years, or 4 years ago. NEWS FLASH bet they don't ever get any better because of the excessive spending being done right now. You can't blaim Bush for the last 100 plus days of a huge spending done by this current president. He didn't have to spend in this manner he chose to to fill his personal agenda to socialize this nation. All you sheep are being led to slaughter!!!!!!!

Re: G O P HAS NEW LEADER
One day, a big Texas Banker sallied into our local hotel.
He said, Sir, I'd like to have a room.
The hotel owner pick a key off the wall to one of his best rooms and laid it on the counter. With that, the Texan laid down a Franklin and said, "I'd like to go up and have a look at the room, so up the stairs he sallied on.
The hotel owner, seeing the cash took leave and rushed across the street to pay the local grocery store owner a bill he owed for $100.
The grocery store owner now being paid a debt in turn took the $ Franklin and went to the local farmer and paid his bill for the meat the farmer had delivered him. The farmer being out at the barn jumped into his truck and drove into town to pay his due to one of the girls from "Lucy's good time anytime" establishment. The girl having owed a tab at the local hotel for a few hours work, went in and paid the hotel owner the $100. due for her time spent in a couple of the rooms and then left.
Well, no more had the entrance door closed, when the hotel owner heard the jingle of spurs coming down the stairs from the upper rooms. The Texan with a stern look on his face told the hotel owner, "nope, the room won't due" and grabbed his Benjamin off the counter and walked out the door.
The hotel owner just scratched his head at what could have been wrong with the room, but the rest of the town went on happily that their debt was paid and all was good with the world again...
