Thank you to each and everyone of you that posted recently on my behalf. I truly regret not being on here lately to answer questions as I do enjoy trying to help everyone out.

For those that wonder where I have been of late, FYI...
- I have been rabbit hunting only six times this season
- I have been partridge hunting 5 times this season
- I have ridden Sissy(Sister Sarah, my mule) four times in the past 18 months
- I have not had a dog on the ground since the first week of January
- I have snow piled up three feet higher than the five foot fences of my dog pens(I have shovelled snow - by hand - from my dog pens every day I have had off since the first week of January!)
- I service a practice area 150 miles north-south and 75 miles east-west as "the equine veterinarian"
- I have moved 500 miles due north into a new town, new practice, and new climate into the worst winter in 10 years as per the locals
- Oh, and I got married in August

Sorry, not trying to sound whiney here, but just wanted to clear things up. If anyone wants to come shovel snow for me, then I will gladly devote more time to helping on the boards. :lol: Okay, that sounded a bit hostile, but it is By Gawd snowing again! Aargh! Gonna have to get out the map and check...thought I was south of the bridge, but looks like I am in the UP!

Seriously...be patient...I am doing the best I can. Take care all, and hope winter is treating you better than it is us.

Doc, I am trying to get my wife to move back to her home state (MI). I would love to be griping about the snow, but way down south here it snowed 2 inches and they shut down everything. Schools and sporting events were cancelled. I just had to sit back and laugh. Michelle's clinic called wondering if she was going to call in for the day. We both got a chuckle out of that...... Anyway, glad to see you are keeping busy, and congrats on the marrige.

Doc, when you were in Arkansas, we had record heat and dry weather, now you are "up yonder" ya'll have record cold and snow. Do you feel the National Weather Service should keep track of your movements? :D

Doc, congratulations on your nuptials, and my best to your betrothed! A bit of advice though- the first thing we teach our new brides here in Maine is proper use of the business end of a snowshovel!

What's the second thing? :lol: darn you Doc, you mean you actually have a life, obligations, a business, weather concerns and still need to sleep. I say give up another hour and get back on here.... ;) What's an hour anyway? You know I'm joking. Congratulations on the marriage, make it a long happy one. ;)

DDW, I guess the second thing would be use of the splitting maul. Next, how to skin a moose, and so on and so on........

hey doc, its like bev said in one of these threads, "if its that bad for gods sake take it to your vet!!!" they shouldnt keep a bleeding hound waiting on a reply on a message board.

I had dozens of private messages and e-mails in response to my comments on this thread and it appears that I owe Doc S. an apology for assumptions I made concerning his marriage. They are absolutely correct- nowhere in his post was gender mentioned and it certainly is unfair that he would have to travel halfway across the country to have the ceremony performed. My humblest of apologies are extended to Doc and his spouse and any others I may have offended in San Francisco and Massachusetts.





Sorry Doc, I just couldn't resist!!!! LOL!!!!!!
