Watched two longbeards for 2.5 hours satuday morning but wouldn't come close enough for Ashley to seal the deal with a 20 ga. Been trying to get her to shoot the smoke cannon but she said she didn't think she could hang on to it, Heck I can barely hang on to it and it rocks me  First time I shot it it bout split my forehead when the scope smacked me :hammer:
I tried to get her to go today but she wasn't into it, she said she'd rather deer hunt. I can't hardly figure that, ain't nothing better than huntin an ol' longbeard. Guess I'll have to go kill him next week and hang him on a limb. If you need need me to tie one up for ringtail let me know

Went out this morning in the rain....worked two birds for well over an hour playing cat and mouse...they gobbled like crazy but kept hanging up in an open wheat field. I finally moved into my final setup thinking the deal was closed because the gobblers were finally moving in quick. I stopped calling thinking they had to be close and the gobblers vanished into thin air.....I have no idea what happened. If I would have continued calling they "might" have come on in but I didn't want to hang them up again....agghrrr....I'll try again tomorrow. :D
