I made it there but due to health stayed at truck. Did get to see some good dog work when rabbit would cross the road . after watching and listoning to the pack there was 4 of us took our pups for A run . Like the large pack we had A great time with good running. Hope to see all of you and others when this happens again. Talked dogs with some great people who not only owned some good dogs .But they allso new dogs from the past that had performed well in the trials. Telling some great story`s about them.
The view is all ways the same from behind.

Thank you, Ed and Thornie, for putting this event on, you did a really good job! I am sorry we had to leave early but I had a really good time, I enjoyed meeting some old time and young beaglers and seen some good dogs. I wish I had thought to take a picture of you (Ed and Thornie). I hope you do it again soon, I will be back, it reminded me of the runs that we used to have at night at the public hunting grounds in wirt co. wv, we would take our coon hunting lights (to see a little dog work) some would bring tents, build a fire, sit around tell jokes, brag a little, stretch the truth just a little, take our grills and eat some good food and just have a good time. I really miss my old buddys, John Boy, Garry, and Frank.
Be looking forward to your next one. bernard

Doing this was just a good time, The country was big and the running was good the beaglers that showed up have some very nice hounds the pack ran good pushed the bunny across the road several times. I hope to see you all and others at the next one. Ed,thornie, thanks for all your effort in getting this done.

I wish I could have been there. I am trying to finish my female to HBCH and had to go to the state hunt. I had some good running and good luck, finished the hunt 3rd. I will be there next time. THORNIE told me all about it. Glad you all had lots of fun. See you all next time, until then happy running.

Sounds like you guys had a ball the pics look like an excellent place to run
I think the idea or format is a real idea
I believe a lot of us tend to forget what it is like to run 'with ' the other guy instead
of "against " the other guy all the time
nothing like the comaradery of puttin down a pack with a bunch of guys that get along and the joking an ribbing that goes with it
More get togethers like that should be put together in all areas, better than any Field trial in my eyes
keep them going

Guy's i had a great time watching them hounds do what they do best, putting smiles on our faces and giving us stories to tell. I did get some good video of bunnys running for their life. i have been trying and trying to get it down loaded to get the video on the board, but i can't get my computer to accept my camera. i will come up with something. once again thanks Ed and Thornie next time i will bring some hounds.

You all are very welcome and any time you want to come up or down my way and run on a Saturday give me a shout. I try to gut my pack every Saturday or Sunday. Lots of wide open country to run near me. I really enjoyed the day running and talking hounds and seemed that everyone really got along well.

Chris (Thunder Road Kennel)...I need to get up north and run with you some Saturday and Jim Lane would most likely be interested in joining in with us.

Thornie...give me a shout if you are up to running this Saturday.

Duece,

Sounds like a good idea to me and I am sure others would be interested as well.
When do the rattlers get to be a problem and do you plan on running at nighttime or daytime?

JB, I will come down and probably bring two buddys, couple of dogs each ok
if you get to many we can just bring one each.
Ripley has a trial apr 18, apr 25 might be a good time.
You might want to invite some down in that area otherwise they might not know.
I personally don't care if you run at nite or day, maby you will get some suggestions on this.
Hope you get it on. bernard

I would like to come down, but me and rattlers won't get along. As long as i can sit on the tailgate or my chair, I'll be fine. Someone else can handle my dogs. I will be taking some pictures today of where we might run our next hunt up here. I think you WV guys, dogs will like this a little better, since their legs are a little shorter on one side. Next weekend is the Nationals 18, 19, here in Coshocton, WV has the most dogs entered. The following weekend is ARHA Ohio State Championship, 25, 26, hope to see you guys come up.
