I own a bitch that is due on April 14. She is showing and there is no doubt she is having pups. I palpated her on about the date that you started this thread and could detect four pups. She probably will have more than four. I've never been able to detect the exact number.

I just took a picture last night. See the first post in this thread. Does your female look like mine or is she bigger. And how did you feel the pups. How do you palpate her.

anyone have an idea or am I just worrying to much about this. You'd think she'd be bigger by now. She was bred Feb 12 and also Feb 15 and probably between those days aswell.

Yes her nipples are swoll. And yes some days she seems bigger but not last night.

It looks to me like she might not have took Joey,she has only got about two and a half weeks left give or take a couple days.Or maybe she might only have 1 or 2 pups,that is also posible.Usualy do not bag up till the end.But I am not a vet,have you taken her to the vet for her checkup yet?

I had a 14inch female 2 years ago that her belly was dragging on the ground and did not bag until the last 7 or 8 days,but you could tell from a long distince that she was the size of a beach ball.

Judging from the picture, it appears that she missed. Mine is much bigger. They usually gain the most in the last two weeks so there is still a chance that she may have one or two.

Just take her to the vet Joey if your not sure and they will do a Ultrasound and that will tell you right off quick.

still 15 days or so to go. When she was bred she was in the best shape ever. She was ran hard and muscled up good. Still taking her out and running her. She was lite and skinny. Now I see some wieght on her but not as much as I expected by now.

Her last litter which was over 2 years ago she only had 4. So maybe another small litter of 4 or 3. I really wanted a puppy to add to my pack. Maybe I'm just worried about it to much.

I'll have another picture update in two more weeks.

No I don't. I was looking for them. All I have are pics of pups. I didn't own a digital camera back then. I had to barrow one all the time to take my pics. Now that I have a digital camera I'm taking pics of everything.

But I sort of remember her about to explode she was pretty big like the very last week she was huge. And all the pups that came out were pretty large.

Take your hands like you are going to pick her up but dont,with just your fingertips feel her belly back by her hindqaurters and feel while you are lifting,should feel like pool balls in there.

I've done that a couple times already and i'm not feeling anything out of the ordinary. I've put my hand under her belly and feel around and seems normal to me. Not like a feel a hard lump of any kind or notice something. I'll do it again today after work.

How do you palpate. What does that mean?

I did a close up comparison.

I think it is because she is all stretched out in the pic. I would also like to ad she is wider. The width of her body has changed.

I just did the pregnancy calendar thing. Based on her last breeding which they were stuck for almost a half hour BTW. Whelp date is April 20th. So we have 20 more days to go. It think she'll start to grown more in the last 20 days.

her belly is normally nice and slim like the first pic on this thread in the first post.

With 15---20 days left to go she could be pregnant just not going to have a large litter. When my dogs are this far along they are usually showing good but mine usually have large litters though 7--10 pups. If she is with pups she will drop. You said she was slim and trim before the breedings and she has more body width now so good luck.
